Cassio Dias Completes Historic PBR Rookie Season With World Championship

Cassio Dias clinched the PBR 2024 World Championship by riding his final two bulls inside AT&T Stadium over the weekend to hold off a spirited challenge from fellow rookie John Crimber.
Dias scored 92.5 points on his first bull of Championship Sunday, Ricky Vaughn, and in the Fourth Round, Dias sealed the title with 79.5 points on Chiseled when all he needed was a qualified ride.
Dias' rookie season was remarkable, earning him the titles of World Champion, Rookie of the Year, and the Mason Lowe Award for the highest scored ride of the regular season at 94.75 points. He became just the second cowboy in PBR history to win Rookie of the Year and a World Championship in the same season,
His season earnings totaled $1.6 million, with seven event wins and nine 90+ point rides.
Dias finished the season with 1,830 points, 239 clear of John Crimber. Eduard Aparecido finished third in the final World Standings while Dalton Kasel and Alan De Souza rounded out the Top 5.
