Always remember: objective, objective, objective matters, not kills. I saw that tier 2 bot tower staying alive until min 45... If you are already ahead in tower, have your team distract them while you take it as a pos 1. It would give your team so much more map pressure, and you can then begin to slowly choke them to stay inside their base, while you can just free farm their jungle / ancient camps, or take rosh, then go highground with aegis.
I am very happy how Grubby admited it, the most dificult part of this game is not game mechanic, but mentality. Sometimes the thoughest obstacle in your way to win are your "teammates".Overal gameplay was 4.5-4.7k mmr. Lets play couple weeks making you enough confident, after that make recalibrate your account, because it will be suffering to slowly climbed up. Most of them are not enough capagle to understadning game. good luck
When I'm in a bad mood I just keep thinking "my teammate did wrong, gg, my teammate should be doing X" but when I'm in a good mood I just ignore everything else and have a better performance focusing in doing what I can, that's what separate people who will have the same mmr all their lives and people that are getting better
“Why carry just farm every game” “That is how you do it” Yes and no. Some carrys are meant to gank to get their items(more specifically early to mid game). Clinkz for example was likely the best example of this when he had his old strafe skill. And am is likely the best example of one who needs to farm and not be in really any fights or ganks unless he is basically guaranteed not to die
I'd say that PA is an even better example of this than AM - they're similar in a lot of ways, but AM has better escape, is less prone to nukes (magic resistance) and his ult can deal solid damage regardless of how farmed he is. The only thing PA has going for her (early game) is being able to slow enemies with Stifling Dagger without actually getting into fights.
I think you played relatively well overall, despite some of your teammate's opinions. One thing to keep in mind is that when your team is fighting, you either want to join them (sometimes) or push a lane to get an objective. That way you force the enemy to respond to you by tping back, or they ignore you and you take towers/rax while they clean up your team. Essentially, jungling is never a good decision when your team is fighting. Either join them or if that isn't a good option, push the nearest lane. Well played Grubby :)
I think you underused your aghanim's. In many instances you could've blinked an illusion onto one lane while blinking to another lane. One good example is 40:27. Even in TF, your aghs could have done more, by baiting enemies on backlines or Dusa. Edit: One other thing, Abyssal Blade pierces BKB, probably you know this, but it is just a reminder that it could've been used in some fights vs Earth Spirirt.
I usually just go heart on illusion heroes (make your illusions hard to kill AF), agh scepter on AM is pretty neglectable imo. AM go to items are: rush bfury, then treads, yasha into manta, basher into abyssal (interchangeable with skadi), personally I prefer linkens over bkb unless I'm playing a hero like PA (since AM already has built-in magic resist and shield with 3rd ability), then just heart of Torrasque for that tankiness, then you will be a raid boss in fights and jump their back liners.
Yeah good thing rtz taught all these trolls that when og ran it down in egs base game 3 semis at ti9. Then again he did eventually show up and killed a pos5 b4 dying. Keep doing you grubby. You played that game very well. Glad to see you enjoying dota. It's fun but some of the community are pretty inadequate and haven't figured out pma wins games more than min maxing flawlessly for 45 straight minutes.
GG. The only decision that was questionable was the TP to bottom lane and giving up pressure around Rosh pit mid game. Thats when the graph swung down. You guys were stronger as shown on the graph. They bought back one hero, so If you guys took a fight near rosh. You guys would be up +1 in total buyback, if one of your guys die, they can buy back , tp, and rejoin the fight at rosh. The enemy cant do that as well and are also Ultimate dependant, which is good for your team with buybacks. They bought back one hero, so were desperate to make something happen and take an objective or look for a team fight. Set up a good defensive/warder perimeter around rosh and have them desperately throw themselves at you, because they want to make their buy back count. Your team net worth is higher. You should win if fight is done well. Also bottom lane was pushed out into your tier 2, Which LOOKS bad, but its not really. thats one lane the enemy cant even farm because its so far away... if they took a long winding row down to farm it and hit tower. Thats a free rosh if yall are around rosh., all you need is a glyph to defend. Also you would have complete control of top-mid and their jungle, while their control is just a bot lane and ancients. They dont have a rat line up to make it efficient, and for them to force you to tp bot when you didnt need to.
Grubby was not being objective when he said that he did well imo. He shouldn't have chased tidehunter especially after he used his ultimate and medusa was decimeting his team (a carry particularly weak to anti-mage). It is around the 32:00 minute mark I think.
