Great Job.. Precise.. It's getting expensive and hard to save money.. also once you've lived here over 30 years it's boring and was good in the 80's & 90's.. When Kings Cross was alive Sydney was Fantastic
Guess you could get scrape by on a minimum wage job or close by living in a shared house, using public transport, walking or cycling and cooking most of your meals. To live well in Sydney, you need well over $100k per year though.
When I first came to Australia in 2002, I was told it would cost approximately $900 per person per week. That was quite scary. But when I looked the details, it involved expenses on liquor, travel, buying take away food, and entertainment. You would want to spend money on these probably when you are well settled. Things have become expensive, but incomes have also grown up.
It would be nice to see how much is it to settle in Sydney. Under settle I mean to buy a house in a good suburb within 8 km from the CBD, private school fees for 2 children, all day child care for 1 child.
I liked your video very much. Thanks, Mark. I am a US. citizen, and an Arabic, French to English translator/ interpreter thinking to move to Sydney, Australia. But I have no idea If I can stand a chance there and how I can get my certifications and degrees transferred and if I can get a job there. May you please make us a video about how to do all that. I highly appreciate you. Like & subscribe. 😊
@khalsa3344 lol you have no idea. I've lived in 8 countries and travelled through 20 plus countries. I grew up in Sydney in the 90s and experienced the lifestyle decline.

Thanks for you video!
People always show renting around CBD, Bondi etc, what about 30-50 mins from CBD, can’t be that expensive

Thank You.
Well what is the salary for a project control or business analysis per Year as i have 10 years work experiences?
Flawless ❤
Sydney is a great city if you could afford the property cost
Don't go to byron or kingscliff or coolangatta it expensive in those areas too byron to rent is i seen 6000 a week and kingscliff 1800 or 3000 a week
i like Cooly better than Gold Coast
Minimum wage = $790 per week. 1 bed rental = $800 per week 🤔
Is really minimum wage that low?
Minus tax
Take a room on sharing... Anywhere between 250-300 a week

@@bntn2238 because of purchasing power declined. Look at inflation and salary ratio. It's not only in Australia in fact it's everywhere now.
