Thankyou! Great video ! Lots of memories there! I used to own a 1980 Suzuki GSX 1100 Blue on Silver with wire wheels in mint condition . I'm 64 now and have never seen another one but that would do it for me!
Used to live 2 miles from Mid Ohio and hit VMD since the 90s. Moved away and only get back every few years cause now I'm vintage. Thanks for bringing back memories of those good times with old friends.
Two of my favorite old school superbikes were my 1982 Yamaha Xj1100 Maxim and my 1983 Honda V-65 Magna (vf1100). Both were legendary for their speed and power.
Never mentioned the fj1100 behind the kz900. Awesome bike that was first of its kind in the day. Was a 1/4 mile monster, and one of the best bikes I've owned.
That old Can-am brought back some memories. Back in my brief but eventful youth there was a guy who raced motocross with us. I’d see him at different tracks all over. He was a big Can-am freak. He had a 1976 250 that looked very much like that one. White like a refrigerator, and handled like one too…😂. Then he got the 1977 infamous Black Widow…still handled like a refrigerator…🕷️
Here in the uk i had the z nine a4 with a chrome kerka, it was my first big bike back in 79. I went from an old 250 cb to the beast, those were the days.
Missed all the awesomeness going on in the campground. Gotta stop by the ClevelandMoto/Motorcycles & Misfits/Noco Moto podcasts tent city near Kentucky corner, and stop by Kentucky corner to see the Captain! Parties, burnout competitions, barrel racing, holeshot competitions - come find it all in the Vintage Days campgrounds! Already counting down the days to next year’s AMA VMD
CRIKEY-for us poor pheasants in Australia you guys have an awesome motorcycle swap meet!!! NO disrespect, to our swap meets, but honestly our motor cycle swap meets don't and wouldn't come within a flea's fart to what you guys have over there in the US (sigh) And the assortment and brand of bikes, bloody amazing! OMG all I can do is drool over my keyboard. My wish is that one day I could walk around such a swap meet, that would then tell me heaven is for real and it does exist!!!
the KZ's ! . got a 77 KZ LTD . .powdered frame . 1135/5 angle valve job/36 valves/36 Makuni's/ running stock duels . the big carbs give it a deep throat . 14 tooth sprocket . it's a blast to ride ... ( am 68 ) ...
Been there 15-20 times. Always a gas! too bad you didn't show the stunt riding, the trials competition in the woods, the motocross competition, and the seminars. Lots more. I started coming in the 90's. Saw two members of the Indian Wrecking crew, Jay Springsteen, Gary Nixon, and MANY great riders. You missed alot!!
Japan was on a 2 Stroke War path when they designed and produced the Triple line up . Sales and performance made these bikes so desirable today . I just sold a collection sitting 35 plus years in storage 3 1972 H1B's , 1 1973 H1E . I kept the 1981 GPZ 1100 Drag bike and a ZZR 1200 My friends collection was huge many kool Kawasaki's got sold and I hope everybody enjoys the history they bought ... let the good time's roll ....... 😎 Great video Jacket
The first thing that stood out to me was the PK bike, the PK Ripper was one of my favorite bmx's ever! I also had a GS1000 when I was 16yrs old......I think it was a 1980..it was fun! And I luv the music at the end "pink houses" Fantastic video man!
I have heard guys talk about this yearly event many times on the forums. So cool that you attended and covered it. That modified CBX was killer. I wish the guys that were selling the modified KZ's with no motors had some info to buy. I'd be interested in purchasing one. Great video👍👊
When I was in high school I had an RD350 that had clip-ons, rear-sets and solo cafe seat. I used to blow away CB 750-4's stop light to stop light and then the V45 Interceptor came out and was the first 4 stroke 750 to beat my bike. Then some time later the original Suzuki Katana 1100 with the weird body work came out and not knowing what it was I tried to race it and before I even made it across the intersection the guy was halfway down the block. It was time for me to move up to a bigger bike, lol.
I had a 1982 KZ750 LTD w/under 5,000 miles that I finally sold in 2011. It was the most comfortable early Japanese Cruiser style bike. With that KZ750 engine, it was quick. Even by todays standard.
On 11:56 I am quite sure its the type of DKW I had as a young boy and converted it to a “dirt bike”. Looking back I wish I didn’t but hey I would have missed out on so much fun!
Yeah I had a Z1 900 I was living on a gravel road. Saturdays was for cleaning Sunday for riding and that bike really shined up nice but only for Saturday night and Sunday morning. I would take a picture of the clean machine for show and tell.
I wish I had my 76 cb550ss back. Sold it for $400 in 1992 because I got my dad's 1981 cb900c. I have seen the cb550ss going for $8000. The cb900c has been in the shop once in 2008 for a valve check. They were all fine.
I had a 72 H2 750 that was tough keeping the front wheel down... but I was able to take 1st place in bracket racing with it... It came down to me and another Kawasaki dial-in at 11 flat... my dial-in was 12:60 so I got a head start... I ran 12:63 and the other guy jumped bracket running a 10:90!
Great video!, but as mentioned there is a ton of other events going on. They used to have pit bike races, but it's been awhile so maybe the safety police got involved. It was priceless. The prices of the bikes are very high for bikes that are so-so. With patience and time you can get them on Bring a Trailer and CL sorted out for decent prices.
Cool vid Jack. Any chance you saw a running TM 400 Suzuki? This was like my history of bikes I owned over my 50 years of biking. Owned about 16 of bikes you showed. The mini bikes reminded me of my first throttle twist. Straight through my buddy's fence. LOL
Hi Jack, I was there last year my first time I was absolutely blown. I had a weekend pass but unfortunately my son became ill I had to come home . I am local I can only be there for the first day you could not come back. Didn't make it this year but hopefully next year I can be there again and stay the whole weekend.
28:07 Guy with Widow Maker Smiles and Literally has Fangs! "Its a GOOD Time" 🗨🧛🏼♂️ Pause it at 28:12 & Look at Jack's eyes 👀 LMFAO!!! Staring Right at the Fangs!!!
Great video. Like em all, little too much Kawasaki, I’m a Honda fan. Yep, you are right all the ct70s on planet earth were there. Excellent narration, you know prices too high, but not disrespect from you. (Not too high if some money bag will pay) I subscribed but hell you got a ton.
That KZ900 looks "almost" identical to my 1977 KZ1000, same color and all. I bought it used with 5k miles on it back in 1984, should of NEVER EVER sold it, out of all bikes I had, this is the only one that always stands out and brings my memories to.
I had a new 1979 Suzuki 1000 that was a copy of the Kawasaki 1000. That thing was a pet rock and a real muscle bike. The piston rings went bad at 75,000 miles.
I had the same green KZ900 around 76-77. Unfortunately, a DA in a Crown Victoria making a left turn, pulled out in front of me with just enough time to lock up the brakes. Front disc locked, back in swung around and my left leg got sandwiched between bike and car. It had just started to rain and fortunately the bike was tall enough that it snapped my femur and launched me over the trunk. I didn't have a scratch except for a broken femur. The bike was totaled and was in a heap at the shop last time I saw it. My full coverage helmet was obliterated. I would have died or had a severe closed head injury if I had not been wearing it. I didn't ride for a long time after that. I'm now on an Indian Springfield, great bike. That KZ was an awesome bike!
There are additional events AMA sponsored on site including “Lap for History” , ten bucks AMA contribution for three laps on the track….awesome on my 89 Yamaha Zuma. BTW The KV triple you featured made it’s way from Minnesota and I hope he makes it back next year, I know I will.
Dang I didn’t see you there. I watch cycle drags! I coulda got a sticker! Edit- I see you’re there Saturday. We were there Friday. Much less hectic. And you don’t even need that ticket after you pay for it lol.
My dad had a 77-78 Kaw. From what I remember it was called Kaw Dog? I remember hearing him from a long way away before he got home. Heard them bikes were really fast for being factory bike with a exhaust.
Been there many times and camped, sometimes for 2 weekends in a row for one price! Way better than Daytona , in that ONLY motorcyclists attend. Harleys don't come and make and parade around to make noise.
That was a great video! Kind of disappointed didn’t see any British Bikes. I wonder if they had them there or if it was just all Japanese bikes and dirt bikes they just didn’t film.
To hear the 'Widowmaker' is music to my ears.
This is the best Mid-Ohio swap meet video I’ve ever seen!!! Please do it again next year! Thanks for Sharing!!!!!
Loved the show and hanging with family and friends !! Take care 😎🇺🇸👍🏻🦅🛺🏍️🛵
I live in Japan, and see a lot of beautiful vintage bikes cruising around. Plus I live by the Kawasaki museum where the first Z1, and H2s are.
great to see you finally made it, been going since 99 and plan to for many years to come
GREAT VIDEO AS AWAYS BUT THIS ONE WAS SPECIAL ,,,THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Thankyou! Great video ! Lots of memories there! I used to own a 1980 Suzuki GSX 1100 Blue on Silver with wire wheels in mint condition . I'm 64 now and have never seen another one but that would do it for me!
Memory's? Had a Yamaha IT 490. Was a beast. Enjoy your vids. 🇦🇺
couldnt stop watching this. summer rules and so does cycledrag. MUCH RESPECT
Used to live 2 miles from Mid Ohio and hit VMD since the 90s. Moved away and only get back every few years cause now I'm vintage. Thanks for bringing back memories of those good times with old friends.
Also, the associated flat track up at Ashland fairgrounds is a great time too if you're back next year.
Great job bringing all these classics and sharing them on ur platform, brilliant!!! Thank you for sharing this with the world to see !!!
Well done.I've been many times. Vintage days are fantastic.
Im watching this in January from a very cold and snowy North of Scotland . This vid is just what I needed to get me thinking of spring !
I'm all the way up in Washington state, we never have stuff this cool! Thanks much, great video.
Vintage days at midohio is such a great time, it brings so many people into a track in a very small town, that has every right to be successful!
Loved the mint vintage kz900 and 1000..those were gold!!...loved the interceptor as well
My buddies had both back then.I rode 'em. My Triumph 650 Bonneville was more light, more nimble, more torque, and just more fun.
I had a KZ900 back in the day quick bike!

Already counting down the days to next year’s AMA VMD
I had a 1978 Honda 250 Elsinore in the early 90’s and I’d love to have that bike back.
Love the Kerker exhaust on the KZ1000
Vance and Hines on the kz1000 I believe. Sounded better than kerker.
Great show Jack,Dad,Murd and Smokin Joe,Thanks man
Truly amazing outstanding coverage, enjoying your channel, all the very best, health and happiness.
Just watched this video and man great job !
CRIKEY-for us poor pheasants in Australia you guys have an awesome motorcycle swap meet!!! Used to go to this every year when it was in Westerville Oh. Amazing back then and I'm sure even better now.
Those Ceptors are hyper rare you were very privilege to see them in person.
the KZ's ! . got a 77 KZ LTD . .powdered frame . 1135/5 angle valve job/36 valves/36 Makuni's/ running stock duels . the big carbs give it a deep throat . 14 tooth sprocket . it's a blast to ride ... ( am 68 ) ...
Nice shop!!!your deserve it…you guys do awesome work. Love my ESS kit that you’ve done!!! Drove down from Illinois
You should of road on the track. Saturday was record setting, largest ever with 260 motorcycles. Good time.
Been there 15-20 times. Always a gas! too bad you didn't show the stunt riding, the trials competition in the woods, the motocross competition, and the seminars. Lots more.

Cool family meeting Jack! Really nice. Take care.
Great Vid Jack! Some prices were good but some are crazy! I loved the $5 parts trailer. If I was there I wouldve bought it all 😂😂😂
Glad you made it! Been going for about 20yrs
I bought my green 76 K1000 brand new for $2499, great video as usual🤙
Hahaha! At 1:06:48 he sees Sunny, my RTW DR650 and says it gets the award for “most stickered up”!!
Great video man

Man, great video. I own a ‘79 it250 and I swear that thing is getting dissembled and placed into my casket when I go
Grew up watching my dad n his friends race bikes to racing bikes there myself. Same to see it gone
This place looks awesome all those CT70's and Vespas going around!
Very good video vfrom Sherbrooke, Quebec.
Wow! That green Kz900, I had the same one same color I bought new. Use to race it at Keystone in Pa.
Didn't know you haven't been Jack, a must see for Motorcycle enthusiasts, as is Barbers! Hard to do when you hit as many races as you go to!
Thanks Jack, great video ...God Bless

It definitely is about what you’ve had back in the day and I had a few, man I hate thinking about letting them all go.
Keep this sport alive!!
My 74 z50 is being painted Honda blue right now rebuilding it. Ill have to bring that next year!
Nice show Guys.. Watching you from daytona beach florida
My first "BIG" bike was a new 1987 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane. With the rarer Black/Monza Red color scheme. Beginning of the Sport Bike Wars.
this place looks so educational and a riot.
I had a 1982 KZ750 LTD w/under 5,000 miles that I finally sold in 2011. It was the most comfortable early Japanese Cruiser style bike. With that KZ750 engine, it was quick. Even by todays standard.
Drunk bro flipping you the bird is the best. Lol.
That was a good laugh!
Yeah! What an A-hole…
On 11:56 I am quite sure its the type of DKW I had as a young boy and converted it to a “dirt bike”. Looking back I wish I didn’t but hey I would have missed out on so much fun!
Could not afford to go this year so thank you for the footage !

Had an ‘82 900F ss….nice bike, sold it an bought ‘94 concourse….Heavy bike
I also had a 76 cb550 then sold it 4 years later for a 750. I loved the 550 so I found a 77 a few years ago and restored it. Now I'm happy again.
Buenisimo videos motos espectaculares saludos Rafa de mardel plata Argentina
That was awesome. Thanks Jack.
I think it is funny that the wall of death uses the old Aermachi Harley Davidsons. I still own my first motorcycle a Harley Davidson SX175.
I had a couple of these and they were awesome motorcycles.
Korpela is a Finnish last name 🇫🇮cheers! Btw so many Kawi's out there 👍💪🏁

I raced one in south Florida with a lot of success after I discovered Curnutt shocks for that ill-handling bitch
Hey, that’s our buddy to with bultaco and my red ford is behind early in the video haha

Love the 1983 Honda CB1100F in blue paint scheme! They would give the Kawasaki's a run for the money and out run the CBX definitely!

I worked in a Kaw shop in 1976. FULL retail out the door for a 76 KZ900 was $ 2611.00
Riding is therapy
WHAT! No 1967 Yamaha YM-1 305cc, I love to see those Kenny Roberts limited edition RZ350's and dearly would love to have one
Great show keep up the good work
It's my birthday, thanks so much for the gift
All time nostalgic bike: 1972 Bultaco 370 Frontera
