Thank you for the walkthrough! I love the deck and find it delightful to read with. The Tarot mentioned in The Night Circus is TdM, which is historically correct as the story is set in the late 19th century. Erin Morgenstern’s second novel is The Starless Sea, which is NOT a sequel to the first book. I like the second novel even better, but opinions vary widely. She is currently working on a third novel. Can’t wait. Enjoy the deck, Simon!
The Night Circus is one of my all time favorite books. It brought me back to tarot and magic. I've been waiting for this deck for over a decade and I'm so happy it was finally released. I edged mine in red and I love it.
Thanks for the walkthrough. I bought this deck in April. Never heard anything about it before. But when I saw that at Half Price Books, I fell in love with it and had to buy it. Glad this deck is part of my collection.
The Hanged Man in this deck is like an image of a performer in The Night Circus. As you mentioned, the deck and the book were being developed simultaneously, and Morgenstern says she can't remember now which she imagined first, the card or the character. Most of these cards don't have obvious connections to the book, so I'm glad she didn't call it The Night Circus Tarot, but I'm sure fans of the book who also use tarot will be delighted. Your review was lovely, as usual. Thanks for your insights.
Yessssss! The Night Circus is what made me decide to buy a tarot deck towards the end of last year (although, I realised I was surprised I didn't already own one)! I read it while off work with a busted ankle and just loved it. I have re-read it a couple of times, but I also listen to the audiobook every now and then too. And if you haven't already, read/listen to The Starless Sea, her next book.... you will recognise some of that in this deck too. So when I first started looking at decks, I looked to see if there was Night Circus one and couldn't find anything, so I ordered Tattoo Tarot, which I did choose for being pips... but when it arrived, the penny dropped that I was learning and more guiding imagery would be a good idea, so I bought Dreaming Way. Then, while waiting for that to arrive, I stumbled across the pre-order for Phantomwise! Errrr, 4 months on and having discovered walkthroughs on youtube, I now have 9 decks - oops. Anyway, point being, it's all Erin's fault 🤣🤣🤣
Loved this!! This deck looks amazing and I will probably go order it now. 😁 Also, that's a great idea to edge it in red and I would LOVE to see it in your next video! Lol, when you were talking about what color to edge it -I actually said red out loud right before you did. Thanks for this review Simon:) 😃👌
Thank you for this walk through. I recently brought this deck as I felt instantly drawn to it, and I've never felt that from any deck yet. Its so beautiful. I would be very interested it seeing it edged.
Some, like Death, feel a bit like Edward Gorey's art, which I love. It was a good book, though I preferred her Starless Sea. I feel like a circus would have some pops of color, and it's one deck that might have benefitted from a silver or gold guilding (matte, please!). Thanks, Simon.
If it's meant to be based on the Night Circus, I might have made the chariot out of the train, but otherwise, It's a very nice deck, and I agree on the red edging 🤩
I really wanted this deck. Then it went out of stock. It has come back in, but videos has shown rough edges. So, I don't know. I need to sit with this. But I have fallen in love with the images. Just the card stock.. I don't know
@@the_hermits_cave you're set is perfect Simon. Previous (early) video, the edges were all over the place. You're video is making me think twice to purchase them.
Omg I love this deck! I am really enjoying The Night Circus book too. I definitely want to get it, it’s on my wish list and I will get it when I can 😍❤️ just to add, I was thinking if I got it I would edge in red! 😍
I got this deck for Christmas and I really love it ❤️ it's beautiful, unique and has this " je ne sais quoi " about it which I really adore. It reads very whimsical and cheerful to me and I have a lot of fun with it. I just learned that there is a book connected with it and was lucky enough to get a copy in my local bookshop, I'm not even halfway through by now but the book is wonderful too and I will definitely read her other book as well. Edging it in red will come out great 👍🏻 I saw it somewhere else edged in red and absolutely loved it. Maybe I will do that too with mine if I dare some day 😂 Never edged a deck so far, so I fear I could ruin it 😅 Nevertheless great review 🙏🏻
I read the book ages ago and I liked it fine but I have co-workers who are OB-SESSED. Like they have Night Circus tattoos. I don't even know if they're into tarot but I'm going to let them know about this for sure.

Thanks for sharing!! I didn’t know that about a second and third book 😍
What a comfort Tarottube is... And your channel represents that for me 100%
Wow, thank you! That’s such a compliment 🙏🏻❤️

It's so good! I didn’t know that about your tarot / magic journey, how cool 👌
Thanks for the walkthrough. I bought this deck in April. Never heard anything about it before. But when I saw that at Half Price Books, I fell in love with it and had to buy it. Glad this deck is part of my collection.
Nice to have you back this week. I have wondered about this deck thank you for review.
My pleasure!

You are so welcome! If I find time to edge it tomorrow I’ll be sure to show it in the live tomorrow night 😉
Thanks for the walkthrough. It's a beautiful deck!
It really is! 😍

You’re welcome! re edging….but then I wouldn’t have been able to edge in red 😝
@@the_hermits_cave I think red edging is an amazing choice!
I love the idea of red edges. I am currently reading the night circus and find this deck really appealing.
Great book, isn’t it 😍
This is a special deck, I love it
I loved the book! And sooo excited for this deck! ty for sharing ❤️
You are so welcome!
I went this deck so much but have heard awful things about the cardstock. I would edge in red for sure! Thanks for the walk through xx
You are so welcome! I actually quite like the card stock. 😍
I really like the aesthetic of this deck. The Death card is interesting. The Sun and Hermit are my favorites. Ok, it's going on my wishlist now.
Enjoy!

My favorite book! Can't wait for my deck ❤️
Hope you enjoy it! 😍
I must admit I’m not a fan of black and white cards, but I have to say the images on this one are gorgeous 😊
Completely agree 💯

Oh no! Mine are okay so maybe they corrected it?

I love The Night Circus. This deck looks magical, but I'm quite put off by the plastic feel of the cards. How bad is it?
Not too bad, but certainly not my favourite

Thank you for letting me know about the book. Grateful
A separate guidebook you mean?
I read the book ages ago and I liked it fine but I have co-workers who are OB-SESSED. Like they have Night Circus tattoos. I don't even know if they're into tarot but I'm going to let them know about this for sure.
Oh wow!
