What is the term for when you feel overwhelming adoration at Namu's cuteness when a joke flies right over her head, but she still winds up delivering an insightful and wholesome take anyway? Like, I don't even feel like explaining the joke, because I don't need her to understand it.
43:41 - Render distance is how far a game is able to render visible assets clearly. He’s saying the background looks blurry because the nicer textures didn’t load in.
A bunch of the memes you didn't get were tied to overall meme/gaming culture, so don't worry about it. When it comes to an in-game file being removed breaking a game, look at Team Fortress 2. There is a file "coconut.jpg" that seemed to break the game when removed. Very fun watch.
23:07 - That’s a reference to The Dark Knight Rises, particularly it’s a variation of Bane’s “you merely adopted the dark” monologue when he beat up an out of shape and out of practice Batman shortly before breaking his back and shipping him to another country to live out his days secluded in an underground prison where the only way out is… a platforming puzzle designed to be impossible to normal humans, even providing a sturdy rope swing as a handicap.
21:32 - Basically that means letting your bad opinions or assumptions of someone else influence how you treat them will spread negativity that said someone else will either reciprocate or pass on to another individual undeserving of negative bias. It’s a simple warning about negative cycles.
24:44 - Variation of another meme I have no idea how to explain. Thankfully you don’t need that meme as context. The long story short is that a Crewmate in Among Us nebulously asked how the Imposter was doing… and then the Imposter actually answered and exposed himself as Imposter, allowing the rest of the crew to vote him out easily.
34:08 - Common time travel joke, in particular memeing about the Butterfly Effect. Basically it’s a thought experiment that posits how the errant flapping of a butterfly’s wings either initiate or greatly contribute to a chain of events that ends in a massive windstorm. When applied to time travel, it just means that a small tweak in events could have massive unforeseen ramifications that alter the timeline. In this case, the joke is that Sony somehow got ownership of Nintendo or their now former Mario IP as a result of a chair getting moved by time travel. Very hyperbolic.
38:11 - In real life, pistols are enough to fell a person in one or two shots most of the time. In most games, they’re the weak starter option in settings where the enemies are either superhumans or fantastical monsters, meaning they almost never kill something reliably without a lot of bullets wasted.
25:30 - The insinuation is that Kirby committed murder and the tasks are to meticulously censor all evidence of not only the killing but that he’s at large for it.
7:40 - The joke is that Nintendo really likes to drag its feet on new games for their more niche franchises, and that they’d grown frustrated with all the pleading that they’re throwing actual Pikmin at the audience. Also the screenshot of the fractured skull is an edit from Mortal Kombat.
Pokemon gold/silver/crystal and their remake Pokemon heart gold/ soul silver basically has you fight the protagonist of the game before them (Pokemon red/green/blue/yellow and their remake Pokemon fire red/ leaf green) as the final boss.
28:21 - People like to joke about not being able to physically see John Cena due to select lyrics from his entrance theme song, called the “The Time is Now”
9:54 - Smash is an innuendo. Basically the guy is a Smash Bros. fan who was almost dismayed to find that he was lured into a booty call, only to be relieved that they get to play Brawl. Crisis averted, he got to smash the way he wanted after all.
20:18 I curse that hand position, I was a kid playing Counter Strike 1.6 and learned to type like my life depended on it (I never used my microphone then) and my teachers kept trying to correct my hand placement but I was already past 60 wpm >:(((
Even though (i think) the thumbnail didn’t appear within the compilation: I kinda loved doing the second version of double jumping whenever it came to the jumping section of the OG Destiny 1 Raid when we were doing the raid without dying trophy. Because I did this for multiple raid parties (I think at least 15 overall), I was the most trusted and usually the raid leader, so no one could kick me. Furthermore the common strategy was to let a save jumper go first and then let only one guy jump at once so I could kick someone if he fails (which is visible just in time to kick before die). We had to kick at multiple attempts and then finished the raid with only 4-5 players. This made it even funnier to scare a whole raid party watching my delayed jumps, when I was the only one who’s mistakes couldn’t be fixed.
41:34 - The meme refers to the player, not the game. It’s just an attempt to get gamers to stop playing a game in a more timely fashion, at night when they’re supposed to sleep. Let the coin decide instead of putting off sleep with empty promises of “just one more game” after every death or fail.
33:39 - It’s a riff on the fact that Microsoft named a more recent gaming console the Xbox ONE, when the original Xbox was nicknamed “Xbox 1” after the Xbox 360 came out. Totally not confusing at all. /s Anyways, gamers generally call the new one the “XBONE” to avoid confusion.
Best thing in this video is namu getting confused about everything
I love how Namu rationalizes what the meme means, it's adorable, even when it's way off. The best.
Namu vids are always cozy
16:41 Namu... you realise you're describing what life was like before cars were invented, right? When we used, you know, horses?? 😂
omg.. that's so true xD
Namu… we need to introduce you to Dr. Doofinshmirtz asap. Absolute chad
I thought about explaining some of the meme for Namu, then decided against it because a confused Namu is cute.
More like because the brainless cannot be helped.
Its currently 5 in the morning and i haven't slept yet, this is the only video worth the sleep deprivation
I feel like explaining the meme at 24:36
The orange imposter gave himself away by answering the question of how the imposter is doing.
1:37 the bullet holes are never permanent

When namu gets upset when playing games she is still smiling and looking sad
31:07 That mug is so unbelievably based

21:40 that guy is Saul from the hit Breaking Bad spin off show "Better call Saul" . Name soundalikes is one of my favorite kind of memes .

Glad I’m not the only one who feels genuine guilt when I do something morally wrong in a video game lol

41:47 - It looks like a car spoiler, invoking the appearance a racecar

Yay a new video, it makes me sad that i never seem to have free time when she streams.
12:44 - This contribution at the end is an Undertale reference.

Namu, the bullet holes disappear after a specific time or amount of holes are reached, not the walls or blood
