Diane was correct to question Spencer's motives. She was also correct in saying by doing this it will change all his relationships.
Truthfully it would make more sense for Laura to get custody at this point if it's going to be another family member, because Spencer is doing this out of spite.

The difference between Michael and Spencer is that Michael took Avery out of spite just like what he is doing now is out of spite. But Spencer is in the right he is not just protecting his sibling from Esme but he is protecting the baby from the entire Cassadine family including his father

Can’t wait to see Nikolas’s face when he gets served with custody papers. Spencer’s right Nikolas will never change, he doesn’t know how to be a good unselfish father. He will break that baby’s heart just like he broke Spencer’s over and over again. Do I think Spencer is old enough for the responsibility of a child, no. But he’s had to grow up fast and that’s because of Nikolas. Spencer wants to keep him from all the pain he endured because of Nikolas and I’m all for that

Spencer hadn't slept with Esme for months by the time Nik and Esme slept together. 3 weeks before, Spencer and Esme almost fell into bed but Spencer stopped it. She told him "It's been so long since we've been together" and Spencer told her that it was because he wants the moment to be right for them to "reconnect" after all of the turmoil their relationship had recently been through. It should be noted that this was in Esme's room just after she caught Spencer snooping through her letters from the nanny. So, in actuality, it had nothing to do with reconnecting at all. He just knew that Esme was trying to use sex to manipulate him into being distracted from the letters and stopped it. Three weeks later, Nikolas and Esme had sex.

I love the story line of Willow hating on Nina ... Now just maybe she will know all the damage in which she has done. Tearing Sonny away from his family .... She needs for ALL to hate her. And Carly needs to now let the anger go. And let Willow take it from here.
Get over it. Most of the people that have any reason to hate her aren't even bothered about it anymore. Dante's over it. Kristina's not even on camera. Avery had zero clue what even happened and Donna was too young to even remember it. So the only "ALL to hate Nina" you're going to get is the ALL that you currently have: The Hypocrite Clan of Whiney Michael, Cheating Joss and HaBITCHual Liar Carly as their matriarch.

Sonny is over Carly, furthermore the actor Maurice Bernard himself is over Sonny & Carly's storyline. Nina is on canvas now & Cynthia Watrose is doing a great job!

@Travoice Laura is a wonderful grandmother to Spencer, Cameron, Jake, Aiden, but she wasn't always the best mother to Nicholas, Lucky, Lulu. She's made drastic parenting choices herself that severely impacted her children's lives. It's the nature of soaps. Few can claim to be a good parents on that show. Simone Hardy was about 30 years ago. That's about it. 😂😂😂
Some fathers still haven't got full custody of their children even if the mothers are bad mothers.
If they actually take the step to get custody and they are fit, no court will deny them. Its either they are not fit or they haven’t seeker custody
