- A carjacking suspect was chased down and arrested after allegedly abducting a Wisconsin woman in her own car on January 14. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office said the victim was sleeping in her vehicle at a truck stop when she woke up to a stranger driving her car. The suspect allegedly told the victim he was driving her car because of “a conspiracy and that people wanted to kill them so he was saving her.” Authorities arrested Kyle Wagner after stopping the stolen vehicle during a wild chase.

Scary. Cops did a great job. Fortunately the family had GPS on the car and were able to give the police an accurate, current location as well. I don't want to think about what could've happened if they had a hard time finding the car.
GPS is awesome for car thiefs!
Someone stole a truck from a paving company I worked at, and it had GPS.
The cops would come in and watch where he was going.
Day 1- small little body shop.
Day 2- Al & Ed’s speaker shop.
Day 3- car detailed
Day 4- home…which is where cops got him.
We got that truck back with tinted windows, a new stereo, SUPER clean, little dents buffed out.
I guess he thought he was in the clear.
It was really bizarre…but worked out nicely for us.
Lol

WHY are such people sentenced by judges for a small sentence of 3 years in prison and after release from prison they are doing it again.DEFUND all judges
Ya, that'll solve it.
Defund the Democrat Party.
It’s honestly just Wisconsin. Their court system is an absolute joke.
It's not just the judges, its plea deals down to nothing anymore, prosecutors and d.a.'s are just as bad! What's your charge? Carjacking? Well if you plead guilty to running a stop sign were good! No crimes get tried at full charge, unless they are making a point on media! Why not commit them if they really don't count anyway?!
Omg I was touched when the officer cuffing the suspect tapped his colleague to take his knee off the suspect’s back after the cuffs were securely on . So professional. Well done officers . 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌹🇬🇧
Thank you officers. So glad she made it out of this! Look how quick they checked for injuries on the suspect. Immediately after he was cuffed. Very impressive.
Very professional policemen. They did a overall great job and and it also stood out to me how respectful they treated the suspect . Quite the opposite of the Memphis 5..
Just started the video, did this guy resist like the Memphis guy? Edit: looks like he followed police instructions and lived after the mistake he made. Or he could comply and then afterwards file a complaint against the police department. Pretty amazing
It's amazing what happens when you DON'T violently resist arrest! Something the "good boy" in Memphis learned the hard way!
@@jamesday7344 I’m sorry… leading the police on a high speed chase is not resisting arrest? Get real
@@shae1922 he would not let the police handcuff him, from the moment he was drug out of the vehicle he cocked his left knee up inhibiting himself from being put on his stomach (and subsequently be handcuffed). Do I think the police should of beat him to death? Absolutely not. Do I believe the escalation would of ended if he would of allowed himself to be handcuffed? Yes.
So future precedents if you believe your innocent and you just repeat “I just wanna go home” and “I didn’t do anything “. You have a right not to comply with police ?
@@garyjackson3531 That's crap. The officers violated the law and behaving like mentally deranged blood thirsty killers. THAT is why they were relieved of duty. Sorry had nothing to do with fact that suspect initially tried to get away. 🙄🙄
I served 22 years in the US Military 8 in the USMC 14 in USN, Like so many of my generation I've seen combat several times. I say that because what these police officers deal with is very much "Combat" life or death is constantly one mistake away. However these none military men and women have as big balls as any unit I ever served with. The Professionalism, care, attention to detail, firearm and movement discipline, clear communication would make any unit NCO or CO proud. LEO's you have my undying respect and appreciation, without you this nation would fall to anarchy in a matter of days. May the God of you faith see you safely back home to your loved ones, Always.
Thank you from a retired deputy sheriff however FYI Many of us, myself included, are military vets going from active duty status to becoming LEO's. I served 6 years as a navy hospital corpsman during the Vietnam era but never saw combat then 27 years as a deputy sheriff.

Yeah unlike Tennessee hiring felons with badges and guns to patrol their streets.
That was very brave of that cop to do...and he did an EXCELLENT job, he controlled HIS vehicle precisely and hers too- you don't get more pro than that ...just pro!
The police are really impressive in this video. The tactic of following behind the leading car, pull out into left lane at top spit, and to perfectly hit the pit maneuver. Very impressed guys must have been MP's. Also kept the victim in mind the entire time. Round of applause for these gentlemen.
Really impressive would be welding the doors shut and spraying in that spray foam insulation through a drilled out hole in the door. I’m not kidding!
Not sure but even looked as if the spike was timed to possibly only snag rear wheels? Wonder if that was just how it hit or skill in pull to keep Driver from possibly losing control close to the spiker.
This should be a commercial for those tires' manufacturer. Holy cow those things lasted long after being spiked.
Truck stops are primarily just big rest stations for people going from one place to another. Although sleeping in your car is not the best if ideas, I've done it myself before out of necessity. Motivations and intent aside, the outcome for this woman was not going to be good. She was lucky in having a newer vehicle, full airbags, and close/immediate police response. PS: This guy showed he knew what he was doing the moment he sped away from the police.
Lol. I've slept at many truck stops and never seen any issues. Lots of lot lizards with watchful eyes are what keep them safe. Nobody ever takes time to thank them
Officer Fur-Missile wanted to nom-nom on the suspect but never got the chance.
Suspects lawyer: The officer repeatedly tried to stab my client, it's all on video.
What the description doesn't include is that she was travelling with her family and when they went into the truck stop for a bite to eat, she elected to stay in the car for a quick nap. She was on her cell phone with the police during the chase.
Great driving by 3333. He stopped. Full control of the vehicle. 💯🙏👏
Ladies, watch out. These kind of people exist.
They do, but that's not what happened here. The guy thought he was stealing an empty car from a gas station and didn't know she was in the car.

Theres a guy out there whom invented a device that is proven for chases just like this, yet nobody uses them....The Grappler!!
They are cost effective for departments on tight budgets.
Phoenix and Mesa police use them as well as US Customs and Border Control. Several other departments across the country are starting to use them. They're $5,000 per unit and a replacement nylon net is $400.

Great job officers 👏 blessings 🙏
The police should really assign one officer to give instructions so there's not 10 cops yelling 5 different things to do.
Scary part is they do this all the time. Several officers shouting incongruent orders. Yet another way people get killed.
They're usually trained to use only one voice. There was also some pretty bad crossfire the whole time they were getting him out of the car. I'm guessing these guys don't experience too many crazy events like this in their area. Glad nothing bad happened and hopefully they use this footage for training.
@@jeredhead6806 NOPE. This happens often. More than on person yelling out and/or telling to do the wrong thing. Happened to me and happened B4 to 2 different other folks I know well. Good defence to only get a 6 month sentence instead of charges for car jacking and kidnapping.
Same thing as the welsh in reverse.

the airbags refused to surrender, they were not going down without a fight
lock em up. throw away the key. might as well tar and feather in public square first
I am wondering if those add on speed humps/bumps would be helpful to disrupt the fleeing driver. I am not sure how heavy they are and I know they'd need to be light enough to move quickly. I saw some at a Home Depot when I was looking for my condo complex.
I heard 4 different commands almost simultaneously. Thats not confusing for the perp at all.
Anybody else think they should have the k9 for every situation?
You go 5 over the speed limit, you have a Belgian Malinois on the driver door and a German Shepard Passenger rear. Guns drawn by the rear officer.

All I can say is start watching for cues people watch for cues like after they have you cuffed then he pats the other officer on the knee to let him know that you're cuffed remember that
What was the woman doing in the car for all that time?

Does anyone know what happens as far as damage done to the car? Do the repairs have to be paid through insurance just as if the owner had wrecked it?
How do they make it so that the police car following the criminal also does not go over the spike strip?
They yank it hard.
Every cop car in the US is equipped with "switches" (hydraulics). They are able to do bunny hops over the spike strips very easily.

Why did the police hit the woman car?
If this had been in Memphis then the SCORPION squad would have killed him.
I wish they could’ve beat that guy a little. I mean, this is a mean brash individual who tested LE. Way too polite.
The preliminary charges are far to light and omit some very serious ones! Hopefully the prosecutor doesn't just go through the motions on this and amends them. Consequently, the perpetrator was only given a $40,000 bond.
How did he get inside her car was sit not locked? I know they said she was sleeping. Thank you police you did a great job.
I don’t understand why car manufacturers have to keep making cars that go over let’s say 80 miles an hour. So many chases are at a higher speed than this chase , but only police cars should go fast, not cars that the everyday person drives. And the lives that could be saved.
Maybe because people like fast cars? Even if they did that, it's not like people can't modify them to go faster.
Car dealers sell cars, they don't make them.
Good thing that pole was there to stop the car from flying into someone's house
Canine officer ready & eager to take a bite out of crime, she/he works hard should have fun with some deserving culprits!!!

Hey any LEO's watching this? If so, I have a question who pays for the damage to a vehicle that was stolen and the police had to wreck (PIT) in order to arrest the criminals? I assume it's the victims own insurance company but IDK for certain.
Keep your hands up but also try to crawl from the driver side to the passenger side! Lol better not fall over
I'm just wondering how this happened… Did she leave her keys in the ignition while she was asleep or something? At least it ended well. Well done officers.

Random question to any US people here. I've known of people who are UK police, then gone over to the US, got green card/citizenship and then become a US police officer. Anyone know how difficult or the best way to go about doing that? Just curious about future possibilities.
It was a good outcome, but doing a pit manoeuvre with a kidnapped victim on board I don’t go for. Stop sticks or having at least on police car in every department fitted with those catch nets. You wouldn’t just rush a house with the home owner being held hostage unless there was immediate threat to life.
I have better knifes in my kitchen 😂
A lot of free underwear advertising on these videos.
police need to invent drones/ or some kind of projectile/device that can be landed on a car over the battery or computer and deliver an electrical impulse that completely disables the cars electronic systems.
That must be horrifying to watch your car disintegrate while riding in it at high speeds.
Have no Sympathy for someone who endangers so many lives, Mentally Ill or not.
Lots of people are so fast to criticize officers, how disrespectful. All that money Biden gave to Ukraine could be spent on grappler’s, one grappler per police station where this crime is committed the most . Extra is relevant when you have crazy criminals carjacking innocent civilians. . Bet you wouldn’t say the same thing if it was your dry @$$ in the car .

Why didn't the first cop have spikes set up
I never knew Wisconsin had such a huge crime problem, lately been seeing state of Wisconsin being in the news a lot.
What is going on there?
Why on gods green earth did it take them so long to make him crash? How many times did they puncher his tyres was it 4? 1 attempt for each tyre. How many small communities did he drive/sail through potentially deleting plenty of civilians. Hey im glad they finally did it but come on.
They destroyed the family car that is not fair they should at least have boxed him in when they were catching up to him decisions like this is one of the reasons why police must be dismantled
Ahh yes, this whole situation would have gone sooo much better if we had completely dismantled the police! 😂 Tell that to the woman in the backseat of the car! 🤣👏🤪
Are you nuts ???
Umm, pretty sure they have insurance lol. And there is also victim reimbursement in most if not all state.
Gawd I hate cops using dogs to threaten people. It's NOT their purpose.
Yes there was a innocent victim in the car,but there were times when this car could have been pitted going slow speeds long before this long chase.
Nope! He did NO WRONG! Disband this police unit!
where are the scorpions when you need them
😂😂😂
The police are low to the core. They really pit that car at high speeds like that with an innocent woman in it. I'm sorry but If your gonna pit it with innocent lives in there do it when the pursuit gets to lower speeds and in an area that's not so dangerous. That car could have slammed into that house or that pole and woman would of been dead instantly. Those police for utter disregard for human life it's sickening.
