I've got to say, it's refreshing ( and heartwarming ) that a comics creator nowadays is taking the time to thank the fans. It just goes to show, if you put out great work ( everything in 'CONAN' feels like it's done out of love and RESPECT* for the source material ), fans will flock to it. A genuinely positive lesson to be learned surely, for the honchos running other comic book properties elsewhere... *Awe-inspiring, exciting, fun; clear storytelling from panel to panel; doesn't insult the reader's intelligence; takes more than 5 minutes to read through.

I’m also a lapsed collector who has gotten back into it over the last couple years, and your book is the first in literally decades to get me back into a comic book store on a specific day to make sure I don’t miss a new issue. I'm excited every week that Conan comes out. I can't say that I have had a title that has me looking forward to visiting my LCS. It's hard to not read it in my car in the parking lot.

Speaking bluntly Mr. Zub, as both a newcomer Conan fan and as a lover of mythological tales such as those written by Howard & Tolkien, the past few years have been very disappointing. But your tales have been a source of light, also as a critic as your stories were fun, interesting and character-driven. In my view you're the best in the business (comics that is), and I look forward to your future issues.

Hello Jim, I was talking to my LCS owner Friday about your NEW Conan the Barbarian book, and I told him your book is my favorite comic right now. If I had to choose ONLY one book to read a month Conan the Barbarian will be it. That's including Millar World or Spawn...Your book is my favorite.

Conan has long been one of my favorite characters (it was one of the few comics my dad would read with me when I was a kid in the 70s), but I've not been this excited about a Conan comic in a couple of decades (since Busiek/Nord were doing the book), and Conan release day is appointment comics. Good day Jim, I wish thank you and the entire team for reinvigorating my interest in the world of comics. More specifically Conan the Barbarian. I was introduced to the works of Robert E Howard at an early age when my cousin gave me a copy of Almuric. His character description and writing style sucked me right in!! After reading that book I made it my mission to find every Conan story I could find! Perhaps I will read additional stories of Easu Cairn in the future?

Love the series so far. And I hope that Heroic Signatures realizes the huge opportunity here. Fans are starved for quality genre content after all the politically motivated franchise destruction over the past decade, so if you guys continue and even expand into tv/film/games, I guarantee you will make bank as well as art. I don't personally hire people for the series. I try to recommend artists where possible. Jim, if you write any SSOC stories, please respect the source material! Arcudi writing in Conan as being saved 4 times by ANYONE in one story is just wrong! Thats not Conan! Imagine REH or Jordan or Dixon or Roy writing Conan as a damsel in distress needing saved 4 times in his own book!
