Love the way you make these topics accessible - you're one of the 4 RUclips channels I recommend to everyone I know, including my son, to educate themselves on the whole investment space. Democratisation of knowledge has come a long way and I hope you keep doing what you're doing....

@SevenEllen All middle aged and older people are haunted by your comment. "£25 a month, paid for 25 years, and I'd have a huge pot of money today." It's a bit counter factual and unfair though because it would be mad for a young person, in their prime of life to say, for example, turn down a travel experience to keep their money in the bank.
I found an old savings book from when I was I looked at the dates of payments in and withdrawals. I'd paid in £50 every month and withdrew it at the end of every month
over and over again 😂 I was young silly and having a lot of fun at that time. At least my heart was in the right place. Years later, of course, I didn't take the money out like ground hog day. So my mad attempt to save was just me making a start.
It's often the case that successful financial advisors of today were hopeless with money when younger, by their own admission.

I think we also need to not underplay the fact that the gamble is a major part of our drive to invest, particularly actively. Plus ultimately, now more that ever, the market will always be ahead of the investor - until it crashes.
