  • In this video AJ works the replacement for the Kraton EXB V2 front diff. One battery in on our test run the drive cup shattered, but for no apparent reason. Having experienced issues with the EXB versions in the past, we have never seen this failure happen to one yet. Come along and see how easy a repair of this nature can be.

They made those longer to try and fix the issue of the driveshafts popping out but I don’t think they considered the stress it put on them. You’re not the only one that had this issue. Thankfully Arrma listens to their customers and will address this problem if it gets out of hand! Great video as always!

      Hahaha Arrma doesn’t listen. From
My experience with the reps atleast. Incompetent, un knowledgable.

@@AnthonyBencomo considering they’ve proven over and over again with every new truck released, your experience doesn’t speak for the whole company! We wanted stronger tougher trucks and that’s what they give us! Otherwise they should rename themselves Traxxas and put out overpriced garbage that can’t even do what it’s advertised to do! (70+mph with a pinion we don’t supply or even make)

I put bump stops on my shocks I think it helps with this along with setting the droop screws

Great video! I recently got one in a rc trade and haven’t been able to run it just yet it needs some maintenance. Looks like a beast tho it has a castle creations motor and mamba X esc along with some proline badlands and other upgrades. I traded a Trx4m for it. Best trade I’ve ever done lol shout out to the guy that traded me 🫡

I broke my cup day one too. Apparently it’s a problem that Kraton has always have. There are a few solutions. I changed my droop. But the chassis slaps now. But I don’t get the drive cup problems. But I did brake a pivot ball. Screw. So the weak point may have just moved. As long as the chassis doesn’t bend, I rather have a broken pivot ball screw than a drive cup. If the cup breaks again on me the next step is to use nitro tubing on the shocks to limit travel.

I've been subscribed for a long time and absolutely love the content! That has to be a manufacturing or product fault, just like you said this NEVER should of happened and it's actually kind of sad but that's the hobby! I remember the version ones having drive cup issues hitting the front a arm and popping out. Dang there's gotta be a better design here or something they can figure out.

My brothers losi shafts go in towards the drive cup instead of away when you compress the the shocks. Pressing down on the body. So there’s a way to for them to make it so it doesn’t pop out anymore.

Definitely and you think that would've been a major thing they wanted to fix since it's a well known problem.

Hey AJ, always love your content, it’s honestly helped me a lot over the years! Quick question, are the metal diff housings compatible with other 6s models? Considering upgrading my outcast exb with the metal ones

    Nice video Thanks
Let's go have some fun, I run the fast 6s are the 8s truck. Then you start thinking I don’t know if I should. Because I know it’s going to break. I really don’t feel like working on the truck. Let say you bought a nice truck 600 - 800 dollars and it breaks first time out.
    Thanks

MIP are best. And yes there are worth it. They slot in very securely. And they are thick boys. I don’t feel like I’ll ever break them. Feels like a proper mechanics tool.
