I took some work days off before school started to go to Cabot and finally catch one of their 14Vs go off. Back in around 2022 Table Rock came in and ripped out their mix of Titan, Little Rock, and 70s thunderbolts for a new battery backed system. Not the punchiest siren I've ever heard, but definitely loud, especially from underneath.

The batteries are fine. It switched to DC power in the middle of the test, and since the rectifier was feeding the head more voltage than he batteries the pitch dropped a little. That's typical of all AC/DC mechanical sirens. Afterwards it held its pitch all the way to the end, so the batteries are in good working order.
