Off the top of my head, noticed improvements: *The viewable screen area has MASSIVELY increased, up from the abysmal GBA resolution of like... 240x160 pixels *Speed shoes altered music (its taken from Sonic R, the song is Supersonic Racing) *Unlockable characters + level-by-level choice to switch characters *Updated/changed sprite art for characters (definitely the end-of-act signs and some movesets), I recognize that 80% of Shadow's sprites are taken from Sonic Battle * Oh shit, partners can exist in addition to your own selected character *Level select + Act Select *I see Sonic can air-brake his momentum, and the speed physics are slightly altered as well *New obstacles and world terrain + new enemies I DO however notice that the Carnival Zone has some obstacles with broken functionality. In particular, there is a spinning disk obstacle at 9:39 which Sonic is supposed to "grab" the center of, and be flung around by centrifugal force until he reaches the bottom, shooting him out at high speed. Here I see the platform just.. drops.
@@Atylonisus this update went with the drop dash, i believe the 2017 update had the insta shield i’d like to believe they’re working on the next update as they are active in their server but who knows
Wait, is this the same Sonic Advance mod/hack from the Sage convention around 2014? If I remember correctly, it was the result from a Sonic hacking competition, right? I can't wait for this to be finished! Either way, looks fantastic!
