After decades of riding clips and moving back to flats year-round a few years back, I can confirm that for me, they are much better for the tech in that you can lower your CG with the heels much easier while mentally providing easier bail-outs. However, one massive win for the Clips Crew is that flat shoes are absolutely awful at protecting your toes! Clip shoes are like armored vehicles for the lower digits! I have had some scary toe/root/rock/pedal interactions never experienced with the clip shoes! Watching this series with Steve in front reminds me of that fact in each and every video!
That is definitely true, flat shoes become wet noodles after they're broken in. Since I'm too stubborn to ever try clips I guess it's time for a stiffer fresh pair. 😆
Dang! That was nuts Dale! I was scared for the entire video but was thrilled at the same time. You guys are really good, and brave, and crazy. Keep em coming.
I don’t know if you should call it Jank hunting? Because you found it! You should call yourself the Jank slayer! And I guess that Jank is a little trickier, because I didn’t hear that Bel this time. Again, phenomenal riding and keep the rubber side down!
You did that endo turn on the steep at the beginning wrong. Your front wheel has to be on the ground to do it correctly. That was one of the most impressive and scary things I’ve seen in a long while.
Hey, congrats to 100k, you got them so fast over the last week or so that i almost didn't notice. Have been watching you for a while now, quality great as always ^^. Something I've wanted to ask for some time is, if you could show us how long it took you pedaling up at the beginning of the video, and also how long the ride itself was, and the end. Would be really cool, as I am always wondering. Keep it up!
How do you keep track where your trail is going? Sometimes there are crossings with 3 or 4 trails how do you know witch one is yours? Edit: Congrats on 100k, I didnt even noticed it. Keep up with your good work!

At this point I'm pretty sure Steve is actually a mountain goat and Dale is really good at editing.
Congrats on 100k!
*approving goat noises*
6:39 “nothing about that looked nice” Agreed
Amazing climbing skills!
107k subs? How did that happen??? Last time I checked it was like 84k, and that was like three or four days ago... Congratulations, Dale! So wild!!

Dang! That was nuts Dale! I was scared for the entire video but was thrilled at the same time. You guys are really good, and brave, and crazy. Keep em coming.
Congrats on 100k subs Dale, well deserved! I think I've been watching since 2020 and even saw you on the trails once 🎉
Amazing trail and riding. Always amazed when I see trails from your area, ours are so different. great job again.
Dude. Your videos are so suspenseful. I salute you. Well done.

Your control astounds me. Inspirational riding at its best. Great stuff!
Absolute banger of a video Dale. Making me simultaneously jealous and terrified! Maybe my favorite video yet.
Haha, mission accomplished! 😁

Congratulations on 100K!
Awesome ride Dale
Oooh I think I know where that is from a hint at the very end but wow that is a push to get up... and leads into something more modern and fun IMO :)
A solid hour and a bit of hiking. Once in a while kinda adventure!
Holy cow. That’s amazing but not surprising that you’re over 100k. Bravo.
simply amazing!

It was somewhat scary in person too haha!
How do you think Dave would fare on these trails? The pure gnarly-ness of them would surely see the invention of some crazy Dave lines
Dave would love them... just not the getting up to them part. 😆
Very nice video ❤❤❤
Trail? looks more like a death trap! You guys sure do have talent
You had like 87k subs 2 days ago and now you have 117k! What is happening! Good job!
Shorts! 📈📈
How did your riding pal get up that steep root section at 4:39? Amazing riding guys!
A perfect blend of luck and stubbornness. I think I said "I can't believe I cleaned that"at the top.
Spicy!
sweet trail! excited to try my new norco sight in squamish. know any good routes?
I know a lot of good trails there haha, but can't recommend without more info, go explore!

It was about 4 hours, and involved a not insignificant amount of hard hike a bike.
@@biggles6o4 Oh yeah, i can imagine... the top looked like no dirt road is going up there ^^
Where do you find these Jank trails?
Earth is loaded with them, amazingly.
holy fuck those climbs man.
Nightmare inducing.
How do you keep track where your trail is going? Sometimes there are crossings with 3 or 4 trails how do you know witch one is yours?
Edit: Congrats on 100k, I didnt even noticed it. Keep up with your good work!
Steve knew the best lines, always follow someone who vaguely knows the best options!
I was lost and making it up the whole time! 😂 Sometimes the trail is hard to read, so you just YOLO it.
What fork Dale uses? EDIT: Suntour.
I'm testing out their durolux 38!
With this instalment, the series is officially misnamed - should be called EXTREME, OVER THE TOP JANK HUNTERS! (109k? SMH in a good way!)
😂😁
Is steve from England?
I am indeed!
🍵
Super janky! Damn!!!😮
Riding that in the wet would be...
Are you sure that´s a bicycle trail? lol
hello guys come to us in the mountainous tajikistan

People hike up that trail!?!
Easier than riding it!
Oh man i couldnt even watch….sooo frustrating.
Cycle name
Dale Stone
You guys missed the best part at the end
Now that I disagree with! 😆
Where's Dale's mom at? She sometimes shows up in the comments and tells him he's going too fast LMAO
Come on,,, this is for professional riders only,,
Congrats on 100k!! Now starts the race to beat @ddangerousddave!!!
Oh it's on, you'd better be scared Dave. 😈
