REDFOOT TORTOISE DIET

Today I discuss the diet I provide for my adult red-footed tortoises.
I do add Mazuri or ZooMed Tortoise chow but only to supplement the diet.

Do u feed pellets at all? The shop where I bought my cherryhead said they feed pellets only until they're adults but that doesn't sound right to me.

I feed mazuri, zoo med makes a great food too. You can feed this pretty much at any age, younger tortoises may need it soaked and softened. Older torts can typically just crunch on it. However their diet should be varied and you should only be giving them mazuri twice a week MAX.

@@spacecoasttortoise Thanks for the info. Turns out the person in the shop was wrong. I talked to the manager of the shop and he said he feeds pellets, greens, and fruits. The guy who told me to feed them pellets only took care of the other animals in the shop so he didn't know much abt tortoise care.
