Les was really harsh on Harold. A jeweller wouldn't necessarily know about a website where one can check serial numbers. Without that website or the booklet Harold mentioned I can well imagine it is next to impossible to know that the movement didn't originally come in that case.
Tha's the thing, it is a genuine watch just the movement dosn't match the case, hencethe site throwing it as counterfeit. But as a rule those sites aren't perfect and operate on the knowledge of known stolen serial numbers.

I remember the episode when les looked at a watch and bought it thinking it was real. It wasn't until Seth checked the serial number that they found out. Why didn't les fire himself?😂
