Thanks for the spotlight!
We're going to be hyperlinking the PDF later on, but it's time intensive so we wanted to get the completed book out first before we did that. We're gonna be including more map variations too (without numbers or secrets, for example).
I wanted to put some stuff in for Jotunsburg but we are right up against the 64 pages for a zine.
Oh that would be awesome! Having the thing hyperlinked would be useful, and those map variations would make it much easier to run for VTTs!
I really LOVE The Ruins of Castle Gygax...errrrrr...I mean...The Ruins of Gygar! Yep...that's what I said. Keep up the GREAT work!
:D Absolutely.
Ooh megadungeons! Also very cool new RedMage profile thingy!
haha I figured I should actually use my namesake. :D
@RedMageGM Yeah! 😁
GREAT review! I wish this video (and these products) had existed 2 years ago when I started looking into megadungeons!
Thanks mate! I'm just glad these sorts of things are being released! We're living in a great time for RPGs!
You had me at the title. Dungeon delving has been my favorite gameplay since 1983. Can't wait to spring these on my BECMI players. 😈
Sounds like your players are in for some fun... :D
I love this series your doing - Ive found a few things i didnt know about that have either inspired my own creations or Ive got a copy of because it was so cool. Thanks mate.
I'm really glad that the videos are helpful!!
@@RedMageGM keep up the good work helping out the RPG community.
Thank you for the words of encouragement! It means a lot! :)
G Hawkins is SO good! Ran Darkness at Nekemte and had a blast! Just ordered everything else they had listed on drivethru, didn’t even know this other stuff was out there. Good looking out!
Totally agree!
Great format as usual thanks for the video and continued content!
It's my pleasure!
9:30 I think the "bat wing" shaped drow sepulchre is meant to like a quarter of a spider's web, unless these are weird drow who like bats rather than spiders.
That makes sense!
Tnx!
Quite welcome!
Running Abomination Vaults for Pathfinder Second Edition so I appreciate a good megadungeon. 😊
Oooh what are your thoughts on that one so far? I've never read through it.
Love a good megadungeon!
I'm getting more and more into them recently!
I wonder if "Castle Gygar" strikes anyone else as an obvious reference to Gygax.
100%. It's funny that I forgot to comment on that in the video.
Not at all 🤔
Sheer coincidence
@@coldstream11 I'm sure it's just how naturally Gygar just rolls off the tongue.
the sequel should be Remnants of Fort Arnedon
Yes the Halith Vorn maps look alot like those of Caverns of Thracia...
One of these days I should check it out!
@@RedMageGM yes - it's one of my favourite adventures ever.
On the topic os small "mega dungeons" have you seen The Defiler of Moonsilk Keep? If not, can I send you a copy of it?
No strings attached 🙂
Dude, somehow I have a copy of the red cover "Alpha" version of that! I honestly don't know where I got it...
I'd love one though! :)
I have a copy; good stuff.
@@RedMageGM Copy sent. Let me know if you got it
Yessir! I gave it a once over and it seems awesome - I'll definitely do a video on it at some point!
I saw Pestilence at Halith Vorn the other day on DriveThruRPG and was very happy to see as I LOVE! Gunderholfen :-) it is an amazing megadungon. Not overally detailed with lots of pointless text, it gets the point across very well then the city stuff is a GOLD!! mine if there ever was one and then the surrounding area is nice, he put out extra add ons that show people how to use megadungons better by adding your own stuff into them, I find that is something people do not do the act like its a campaign setting. I use them as a massive tool but always keep options open for other stuff in the area or even leave to another city somewhere else can always come back and its up to the GM when to say people level up anyway if they want to do it early, later or direct xp gains.
Absolutely - building up the area *around* Gunderholfen actually makes Gunderholfen better, imo!
@@RedMageGM For sure also its sort of how these things should be done, maybe have random quests out there easy to make with most games oracle systems or simple cards that you can use. I mostly solo play myself and I like to mix things up as well ha
Awesome!
