Jim WOULD be a really good professor!! After binge watching his interviews, I feel like he is such a good story teller and can really convey things about the depths and emotions of acting to a point where a total non actor like me actually wants to learn more about acting now.
I’m bummed that I’m only seeing this video now - 9 years after it was uploaded. Most of the episodes they talk about are some of my favorites. My favorite episode is titled “The Adhesive Duck Deficiency” When Penny falls in her shower and needs Sheldon’s help. Meanwhile Leonard, Raj & Howard are somewhere to watch the meteor shower. I love that episode for many reasons. My favorite screen in that episode is when Sheldon has to help Penny get dressed (she dislocated her shoulder & needs to go to the hospital). She tells him that she needs him to help her put her blouse on. Penny tells him to close his eyes because she doesn’t want him to see her naked. As he’s helping her, she gets a look on her face, then says “Is that my arm” Sheldon gets a look on his face and in a calm voice says “It doesn’t feel like an arm”. Penny: “Then maybe you should let it go” Sheldon: “Alrighty” The way both Jim & Kaley spoke their lines & facial expressions are the reasons for this being a great scene - my favorite. The audience could see the exact moment that Sheldon realized what he was actually holding on to. Awesome!! Meanwhile the other guys, being high as a kite from the cookies, looking at the stars. Howard asks Raj “When do the meteors get here” Raj - “The meteors don’t get here, the earth is moving into it’s path” Leonard - “I can feel it. I can feel the earth moving.” Then “It’s moving too fast Raj. Slow it down” Raj makes a face that can only be described as looking like he’s constipated. Then asks “Ok how’s that?” Leonard - “Better thanks” Again the tone of voice they use is one of the reasons for it being so funny. My favorite part about that scene is the face Kunal makes when Raj is slowing down the earth. And of course, when they get the munchies 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Simon seems like one of those people that always plays for the laugh. It can be charming or it can be annoying. It rubs me wrong here but I think that's probably partially because I can't stand Howard.
I mean that's just common sense, it was beneficial for the show producers to pick actual people that portray the characters so they wouldn't feel so out of tune when recording.
