I have bought the Sky Q version of this to replace my old Maxview HD system. It really is as easy as this video. The first time I set it up, I had located the satellite and Sky was on in just over 3 minutes from putting up the tripod to connection to Sky. A great and easy system.

Very well explained. Although the Maxview set up is more expensive than some cheaper ones, its obvious its a far easier set up and a much better quality product. I plan to get one next spring time as I'm fed up with trying to get a lousy Freeview signal in many locations, and I don't want to pay money for streaming when I hardly ever use that method. Thanks for posting the video.

Hi Guys... Great video. I have been using this product with my Sky Q box for over a year now and its a cool product. Have never been able to get all of the Sky channels but enough to make it worthwhile. Just want to add that it is critical to get the tripod level or you will have issues and be very careful stowing it away as the LNB connections are quite delicate. I decided on this rather than a fixed auto skew system on roof because if you are on a site with trees you are stuffed as you cant move the dish around to bypass trees...
Great review guys very useful that there's a built in Sat finder, we have an old Maxview dish without the sat finder so we have to use a separate finder which is a bit of a faff.
lensman2online we’ve also previously had satellite kits without the built in finder and agree that it can be a faff. This one is so simple to use as you can make slight tweaks and adjustments as you go. Maxview really have taken the hard work out of setting this one up.

I don’t have a maxview dish but I use a cheap one I can get a virtually ful strength signal but zero quality signal. What am I doing wrong. I do have a Avtex tv.
Is it only stanard freeview you receive i.e. what are the advatages on a standard roof mounted aerial??
Dazzle 27k so there are a number of possible advantages over a traditional aerial. Signal is the first one. As long as you have a clear view of the sky, you can get a picture using a satellite dish. Variants like this also have two feeds to allow you to record and watch TV at the same time. We also find the quality of the picture is better when using satellite and the number of HD channels is more too. If your heading abroad, then you’d also need a dish there to receive UK channels.
@@youngtourers2078 We are on trip 2 in our caravan in May, so always learning, all the time. Thanks for the response. Daft question, but this is different from say example a sky satellite TV subscription, more along the lines of FreeSat?
Dazzle 27k if you have a sky box, you can use it. If not, you will need a receiver, either built in to the TV, like Avtex or a separate receiver. In these two cases, it acts like the satellite version of freeview (freesat).
