@@twist1936 well actually some Peugeot/Citroën diesel engines were very reliable! Same for the petrol engines. However since the introduction of the 1.2/1.6 petrol and 1.5 blue hdi engines reliability’s went downhill very quickly!
Peugeot: Let's design a follow-up to the 206. It must be larger, heavier (for safety, etc. etc.), slightly less cheap inside, all those sorts of things. Also Peugeot: Let's put the same engines in it. What could go wrong?
I drove 650 km in Fiesta 2002 with the same 1.4 HDI engine - I was suprised. 150-160 km/h without any problem for whole distance - burned about 6l/100 km ;) . Very reliable engine
@@stefanraskovic7872 haha, totally possible , what is more i had focus mk3 with 1.6 tdci 115 HP (also HDI)and average on german highway was 6,3 doing 160-170 km/h (up to 190 kmh)

i have almost the same car. you can try the 1.4 vti, it has an insane handling and braking, top speed isnt bad as the acceleration. very fun to drive even daily. i love it
I don't write English well... I clicked on the video just to put my finger on top, I didn't want to watch and saw that at the beginning of the video everything was already jumping like at a rally, just super, as always, the author is well done
I have the 1.6 90 in my 307, it's not a lightning bolt but it's a car with a very short chassis, it's a sport type so it's not a bad fun car for young drivers like the 207.
I have a Ford with this engine (1.4 TDCI). When they are working, they are nice engines with decent torque and great MPG. They do commonly suffer from injector issues though and glow plugs. Mine runs noticeably better on Shell diesel compared to other brands.
What's up with those parrot devices mine 207 came with it when i bought it from nl as well??? Likei dont wanna make calls i wanna play music via Bluetooth
My mom has a 206 1.4HDI. It pulls quite nicely at 1200-2500 rpm. After 3000 rpm, forget about overtaking people on the highway. But it also feels like it consumes nearly no fuel at all.
When this guy gets an old, cheap car, it's always a guarantee of good and brutal fun. 😄😄
Ah yes the 1.4 hdi reliable but you will never overtake with it 😂. Anyway nice driving bro! 😎
Very reliable
Peugeot and reliable? 🤣🤣

@@stephandolby 😂 well that’s true most of the 206 engines felt sluggish and slow with the 207.

You weren't driving 150-160 constantly if your average fuel consumption was 6l/100km, stop trying to bullshit people.

This engine is really bulletproof. Its very very reliable and comsumes too less. This engine is unbeatable.
Don't agree. This engine on Fiesta Mk6 has a ~6lt/100km fuel consumption with Getrag IB5 transmisson.
Also so strongless and slow.
