This moment was jaw-dropping during the live stream, and is just as surreal during a second (and third and fourth) watch. What a King.

So, with PointCrow finally beating Malenia after over 700 attempts, this means that it's only gonna take him a bit over 100 Cats worth of lifes to win a fight in real Life, I don't know if he's gonna be able to win in chessboxing guys

I didn’t even know that you can knock her out of Waterfowl Dance, that was sick😳
It was interrupted with bleeding, which is able to interrupt most attacks. I don't think you can break her poise during it, but certain other effects will work. It is possible to interrupt it using a frost pot for example.

Dude i am soooooooooo close to beating her. Its my 5th playthrough and watching you scream after beating her got my hyped my boi. I can’t wait, its gonna happen in my next few playthroughs for sure
I really hope PointCrow finds out that he can get Malenia’s Weapon when he uses her Remembrance on the finger reader crone next to the two fingers in the Roundtable Hold.

I don't know the game. Looked at Twitch, entered the stream when Crow entered the fight. Smashed the boss without a sweat. Counterattacks from the boss looked slow and predictable.

He knocked her out of waterfowl before the attack went off first phase at 0:59, then for second phase I guess it's a mix of his unrelenting attacks and god RNG
Never played elden ring but that really didn’t look to difficult
Most people consider that fight the hardest boss in the game, and it took Pointcrow 700+ deaths and more than 20 hours to beat it. And he just made it look like a cakewalk
So this was Crow avoiding almost every hit because he’s spent hours learning her attacks, and like he said at the end, she honestly was easier here. Enemies have a variety of different attack patterns, and sometimes you get lucky.
Speaking from my own experience with Malenia, she used a lot of her easier to avoid attacks in this fight, and when he knocked her out of the air in first phase, that was a big deal. If he hadn’t done that, she’d have probably killed him.
I can guarantee you, she is horrifically difficult to beat. She hits quickly, has long reach, can easily close distance if you try to get away, and every time she hits you she heals. Then second phase she adds scarlet rot, new difficult to avoid attacks and higher damage in exchange for lower defences.
She didn't use her 2 strongest attacks a single time in the entire fight. He got some absolutely godlike RNG for this attempt.
ive seen so many people spend hours on this fight at least 10 hours. the only exception was slimecicle whose build was just pretty strong and had nerd shit

I know no one likes the guy who points out the mistakes a player makes, but I just wanna educate any aspiring Elden Ring players that need help fighting Malenia: The build in this clip was not very good lol, and I don't recommend replicating it if you wanna have the best chances against her. Even if his main focus was the jump attacks, he could've ditched the soreseal and put on Raptor Black Feathers, Claw Talisman and Lord of Blood's Exultation. Once the first bleed triggers, that's a total of 51.8% more damage out the gate just by swapping a few equipment pieces, making the boss statistically 33% easier. And even though Raptor Black Feathers likely has less negation than the sentinel armor, he's still a net positive in terms of defense because the soreseal reduces it by 15% Then it looks like he doesn't have a single active buff outside of his Wondrous Physick, which isn't really a good idea in general. If he had invested 5 Faith (which he could get via a lot of ways) he could cast Flame Grant Me Strength for 20% more physical/fire damage, though Exalted Flesh is a great consumable alternative that also gives 20% physical, then there's Golden Vow which is an ash of war he can put on any weapon, like a dagger or something, giving 11.5% damage. You can't stack flame and exalted flesh, but you an stack either one with Vow, so all together, you can cast two buffs and swap a bit of equipment and get a net 103% increase on damage. The build can look exactly the same and function the same, but it can also be twice as effective if he made these changes
