@ultragarrison You're lucky to have survived long enough to encounter the boss. I think you'd have been safer with a different weapon, and staying in an alcove where they can only get in one at a time. Be careful out there.
I loved this game...didn't play it as "safe" as this guy..I expirimented with moves and was a bit flashy..the castle level was a psin since I never found axway out till years later when I saw a walkthrough....bs since I was hopping all over the place and couldn't get out to save my life..

@remanutd you can get it when u get the dragon armor, so you can walk in lava without dmg, or so i heard

@TheFreshBoy22 Use dragon armour which you will get later, or jump over the the lava by pressing (and holding) X and then triangle and O. It works!

@remanutd u have to cross the lava to get to the chalice but u can't until you get the gradon armor and then u gotta return there and like get it
