dude, at the "benchmark" it's always faster, because you are not on top of it... if the top speed on the benchmark were 77km/h it would mean less 15 km/h after with you on it... and depending on your weight it could be worse... it's the same for every scooter...

When you switch modes double click slowly eco/sport/race you must double click slowly then it should reset
