I haven't been training for long but your vids have seriously upped my game. I can only hope to one day be able to pull them off as gracefully as you do. Really appreciating these tips so keep em coming 👌🏽
This is something I’ve been playing with for the last few months. I’m so glad you’ve done all the refinement for me. Saves me a lot of time trying to figure stuff out on my own. 😂😂😂
Thanks for the great video Jon! I just started incorporating crab ride in my game and this video is a great addition for that. I especially like how you go from the leg drag to the crab ride without giving your opponent the chance to pull in your leg between theirs and threaten leg locks. Well done as always!
Super interesting! I am a white belt 3 stripes so quite new to the sport. Someone at my gym gave me your name and told me to have a look at your videos. Best bjj advice ever!
man jiu jitsu has changed so much since I started! Really cool concept and I can see how implementing elements of this can work well for me! As a bigger guy in jiu jitsu there's not much "new" stuff that we can actually pull off.
Nice, I already implemented the first pass from watching Keenan years ago. Now I have some other options. A few of the young guys really like the Supine guard but I like smashing through it.
Jon this looks great and I can’t wait to try it! My only feedback is that it would be great if you could narrate these rolls at the end and slow them down. As a beginner it’s hard to watch what you’re doing, while reading the annotations and remembering the concepts you taught in the beginning of the video.
0:11 bro the way you go into like 4 different positions effortlessly is so cool 😂 i always have a hard time shifting positions because of lack of core strength
Wow, so cool. You are so amazing, very nice when you also do the stuff in roll. I really going to put this in my game. I order a grappling dummy this week, just to train More on this stuff and, berimbolo, crab ride and with different hooks. Thanx for be a big inspiration 😊 regards Patrik
Love this ! I’m a rookie have no idea what I’m doing but I seem to stack people a lot and side dance with them to get side guard. What I can never get to is the back. Will watch this on repeat prolly to get it but thank you for posting this….. ps I subscribed off this video 👊
Jon, I think I'm a similar build to you and these techniques would work well for me. I'm about to close in on 5 years of training, this looks like a good style and movement for myself. Maybe I'll be good enough to implement these after another year or so.
How realistic are these types of back-takes without the Gi grips? Even the Miyao brothers Bolo into Leg-Drag and Body-Lock passes in Nogi, because connecting to the back is much less reliable, correct?
Do you plan on doing any more VICE videos? I've been using since your original video and I'm always trying to see if there are other positions you can get to with it.
Actually a lot of aspects do, but also you can use the leg drag to set up the 411 position as well if you know that. I should have mentioned that as well. When they defend leg drag pushing you can throw your leg over to a cross ashi position.
Love it. Game has improved tremendously since watching and implementing your collar/sleeve concepts. Can't wait to drill and implement these!
Thanks a lot buddy! The collar sleeve is such a critical foundational guard! Happy it has helped
I'm still shocked that you just give out such amazing material all for free for us. Many thanks for everything you do, Jon!

Thanks a ton buddy trying to share my journey as I develop this position as well. Making so many breakthroughs the last month as well!
Got my first baby bolo from watching your matrix videos and realizing the position I was in could get me there. Thanks again!
Love this..been ending up here a lot and felt like there was way more to it. This helps tremendously. Thanks for all you do Jon
Soooo many questions but itll be an entire flow chart in this mother so, nice stuff.
fantastic, adding this to my butterfly/saddle attacks. you covered so many details, thank you.

so good! I've been playing around with the ninja roll by Bradley Hill from this position. Works wonders!
Yeah that roll is so powerful. Have been having fun transitioning to crab with it.
This video is extremely helpful! Currently exploring the backtake game and this was a sort of missing piece that connects many dots
Awesome I’m gonna do one soon with Sebastian Serpa on the double guard pull!
Always great technique and equally great music
I love your skills! Your technics are the newest and sharpest skills on the world!
Pls keep going share your amazing skills
Thanks master!
This is excellent stuff! Can't wait to try it out even though I'm still playing with the diving back take series you posted.
Yeah this is a great addition with that! Hope it helps!
Your style of bjj is what i aspire to achieve. Ty professor

Looks like some cool magic trick!
Haha thanks buddy! I like jiu jitsu to be effective but also pleasing to watch.
I like it, but had to watch that one several times before it started to sink in. Lots of details to remember under stress.
Thank you, saludos from PERÚ :)
Amazing!
Thanks
nice detail
Thanks!
I've had people shoulder walk onto me from that diving leg drag position. Any pointers for that?

So awesome
Thanks a lot!
Starting from the standing leg drag position I'm having trouble weaving my bottom leg around their far long. I'm sure my positioning is off.
Please do a vid on leg drags an maybe good drills for matrix
Have you watched my video on the matrix before
This is sick
Thanks buddy!
so strong!

He has a whole system for vice guard on Grappler’s Guide.
@@stantoncochran536 yeah, I've watched it and I use it. I was inquiring more about new technique from the system.
How do you avoid the calf slicer from this position? I tried this and had success, but against a more experienced partner it was calf slicer city
Can you cover foot locks?
Can you show how to prevent the darce when your opponent is passing into side control?
Really cool. Do these work with no gi? I was trying to think of modifications but wasn’t sure

What is happening at 3:44 - the stomp through??
What about people that grab the leg drag leg and tried to pull into 50/50
How do you get into the starting position here?
Can this system be applied very effectively to no gi?
Hello Professor why can’t I feed the left leg I am having a hard time doing it.
It's not for white belts mate
I’m short and can’t get my leg around for the first back take 😔
Does work in nogi?
He looks like a regular dude, non threatening, and just harmless, when in reality he’s a fucking weapon haha.
A lot of bjj guys do
Are there alt grips for no gi?
You're so squirrelly
This system seems to be amazing against guys with long legs that love to pull guard
Yeah it’s really great vs anyone honestly
Look's like a Crab fight. Or fighting.
