They started production in about 1981/82 and continued until late 90's/early 2000's. They produced an identical Brass housing version as well. that head originally came with a plastic cover and could be special ordered with the optional Rubber Cover along with the Brass model; the plastic cover was a poor design as it wasn't stable on the fulcrum pin spindle and the beveled inside edge of cover would tend to wedge into the case when stepped on or run over by a mower!.... The Rubber cover eliminated this and I believe eventually was supplied standard on all units in the latter years of production. Its really cool to find heads that old still in brand new unused condition. Thanks for showing!
