I’m a believer in having an emergency credit card that gives cash (Costco) or points and then I pay it off either as soon as I make a charge or before it’s due. Never pay interest.
Yes we use our credit card as a debit card. We use it for everything, it’s not only safer for online shopping and in case your info gets stolen but also earn cash back. It also has made our credit score in 800s. We pay it off every payday so no fees or interest.
Since they follow Dave Ramsey, I would wager they have an emergency fund that is more than many folks have on their credit card limit. We do the same, and it's so frustrating when companies won't let you pay with actual money. 🤣

We follow most of the Ramsey money principles BUT we also travel extensively (including international) and have found that a credit card is being required at an increasing number of hotels and rental car agencies. We have had a card for several years now and if it’s used, it’s paid in full as soon as we receive the bill.
A credit card is not credit if you use it correctly and pay it off. If you ever accrue interest, it is a credit account. I got my kids credit cards when they became adults and taught them to pay it off monthly. Never buy anything you don’t have the money for. You can also pay it off before the bill comes. Some bank accounts are linked to the credit card so paying it off is a simple transfer of funds. You can do that as soon as the charge shows up. Credit cards are safer because IF someone charges fraudulently on your debit card it takes funds out of your living money. If they do that on a credit card, you dispute it and they send you a new card. No loss of money you need to live on.
We we get huge Zucchini we shred it to add to spaghetti sauce. Or we cut in half lengthwise and scoop out the insides and make Zucchini boats-spaghetti sauce with lots of cheese on top. I think the smaller are more tender but the big ones are wonderful for using too. And they stretch meals so nicely.
girl, I don't know if somewhere in these 330 plus comments. somebody has mentioned this, but get yourself a battery bank that works with your charger, and if you're going on a trip bring that with you. Just make sure it's charged before you go and only use it for those exact cases like you had on the trip. It's a life saver!

What a blast you had! I have all boys and being a single mom I have to do all the "dad" activities with my boys. I loved that you let LIam have a boys mini vacation! He will remember that forever. The best way to pick a squash is to take a hold of it and twist it and it will come off the vine and you will not be pulling on possibly hurt the vine. The gardens are looking fabulous!
The rollercoaster brought back memories. As a child my 2and oldest brother (grown man) took me on one and I kept trying to slide out of the seat, didn't hold my lil body in. Well many years later he called and asked had I seen the movie about the killer coaster (?) and I said yes. Then he tells me that was the one that I nearly died on and they destroyed it in the movie. Hey all I can say THANK GOD it didn't get it's reputation for me dying there 1st!! Great video! God Bless!!

I took a trip with my youngest a few years ago to Egypt on a cruise down the Nile, my son was 13 ,just me and him best holiday I ever had he's 29 now and still talks about it. My oldest son went on a trip with his dad to the USA, great holidays to remember forever x

I keep a small packing cube with a phone cord a car charger and an outlet that has multiple usb and regular plugs. All stays in my travel bag and gives me less stress.
Looked like a great trip, and the garden.......well, It's huge, you've put in a lot of work, but please you need to improve that soil, so many yellow spindly plants. Please add lots of organic matter and fertiliser. Im from New Zealand so dont know what products you have in the US, but I find sheep pellets (Palletised sheep poo) and good quality compost work wonders. I add them every year. My soil is rich and dark. Im a lifetime gardener, my job is selling plants so im not criticizing, just trying to help. 😄

So I just found you recently and have been binge watching, mostly to get to this point where you're getting the new kitchen built, but I'm watching all of the things. In this video in particular, you prove that you really are the kewl mom! So far, I've enjoyed this special '1 kid' trip more than any of your others. As the top comment I can se states, Liam is at the perfect age for this trip! He's still young enough to be thrilled with all the fun things, and not bein the emo teen years. Although, of course, none of your kids have been seen acting that way. I can't believe how fast all of the kiddos have grown. I love all of your content.

Jamerrill, I can say you lead an exciting life ! How much fun for Liam to go on this adventure with you doing all the things , enjoying that fabulous fishing trip! Kids don’t need “things” as toys and such ..they will be forgotten quickly but the time that we invest with our children/ Grandchildren doing things with them and having fun doing it even simple things like going to the lake or something they are interested in doing will never be forgotten! That time having them feel special and unique just having fun doing all the things with the most important ppl in their lives Mom/Dad/Grandparents/Aunts/Uncles etc enjoying time with them is priceless to them (and you too) ! Even a shopping trip is special when your having fun .. I see so many parents out and about with their kids and they are irritated and fussing being short with their kids and those little eyes looking so so sad and miserable as to say.. I knew this event would be like this .. it’s just so sad… I have health issues but I try to always to not allow it to spoil my time with my kids/grandchildren no way I’m going to enjoy it ! I love going on adventures with them Ilove traveling and experiencing new things in different states or cities and I want it to be fun for those I’m with so I’m usually the one saying let’s go and do things! Ha yeah I may be hurting but I push that to the back cause I won’t allow it to take those special moments away from me or my loved ones ! Life is too short and those experiences are too precious to not make them fun happy and unforgettable! I’m sure Liam will never forget this trip ..the joy you could see on his face totally priceless because it showed his heart full of joy spending a fun trip with his Mom ! I’m so glad you share how you enjoy being with your children it’s so so important to show that because so many parents need to be reminded these kids moments are so important for them ! And don’t forget it’s so much more fun for us too we’ll never forget the look on their faces of enjoying their time with you! California native here! So exciting to see you in my neck of the woods☺️ I was born in Orange County and Newport Beach is my favorite! If you ever go back I highly recommend Corona Del Mar beach, it’s much much nicer than LA beaches. I’m guessing from the houses you showed on the boat ride to the Catalina islands, you went right passed Pirates Cove which is a secluded beach. Also John Wayne airport is a fantastic airport in fly into OC. We just flew to Ohio to visit my parents from LAX airport, it would have been so exciting if I’d have seen you there! So glad you had fun fishing and made it home safe! Those thrifted baskets are great!!!
That was fun going on that trip with both of you. Mackerel is good tasting but has a lot of little bones. I am 73 and love to fish. Lucky for me I live on the coast of Maine. Thanks so much for sharing!

I really enjoyed this! Santa Monica was a favorite hang out as I was growing up. Every weekend! Great memories. And Pacific Park (P.O.P) is where my parents met when dad was in the Navy. Im from New Zealand so dont know what products you have in the US, but I find sheep pellets (Palletised sheep poo) and good quality compost work wonders. I add them every year. My soil is rich and dark. Im a lifetime gardener, my job is selling plants so im not criticizing, just trying to help. 😄

So I just found you recently and have been binge watching, mostly to get to this point where you're getting the new kitchen built, but I'm watching all of the things. In this video in particular, you prove that you really are the kewl mom! So far, I've enjoyed this special '1 kid' trip more than any of your others. As the top comment I can se states, Liam is at the perfect age for this trip! He's still young enough to be thrilled with all the fun things, and not bein the emo teen years. Although, of course, none of your kids have been seen acting that way. I can't believe how fast all of the kiddos have grown. I love all of your content.

Jamerrill, I can say you lead an exciting life ! How much fun for Liam to go on this adventure with you doing all the things , enjoying that fabulous fishing trip! Kids don’t need “things” as toys and such ..they will be forgotten quickly but the time that we invest with our children/ Grandchildren doing things with them and having fun doing it even simple things like going to the lake or something they are interested in doing will never be forgotten! That time having them feel special and unique just having fun doing all the things with the most important ppl in their lives Mom/Dad/Grandparents/Aunts/Uncles etc enjoying time with them is priceless to them (and you too) ! Even a shopping trip is special when your having fun .. I see so many parents out and about with their kids and they are irritated and fussing being short with their kids and those little eyes looking so so sad and miserable as to say.. I knew this event would be like this .. it’s just so sad… I have health issues but I try to always to not allow it to spoil my time with my kids/grandchildren no way I’m going to enjoy it ! I love going on adventures with them Ilove traveling and experiencing new things in different states or cities and I want it to be fun for those I’m with so I’m usually the one saying let’s go and do things! Ha yeah I may be hurting but I push that to the back cause I won’t allow it to take those special moments away from me or my loved ones ! Life is too short and those experiences are too precious to not make them fun happy and unforgettable! I’m sure Liam will never forget this trip ..the joy you could see on his face totally priceless because it showed his heart full of joy spending a fun trip with his Mom ! I’m so glad you share how you enjoy being with your children it’s so so important to show that because so many parents need to be reminded these kids moments are so important for them ! And don’t forget it’s so much more fun for us too we’ll never forget the look on their faces of enjoying their time with you!

Welcome to California. From Bakersfield California. There are countless reasons why I would like to move out of California. But watching your son fishing in the Pacific Ocean is a reason to stay.
LA is one of my favorite places in the world. My family just moved from California to Utah and I miss it every day. Especially the ocean.
California native here! So exciting to see you in my neck of the woods☺️ I was born in Orange County and Newport Beach is my favorite! If you ever go back I highly recommend Corona Del Mar beach, it’s much much nicer than LA beaches. I’m guessing from the houses you showed on the boat ride to the Catalina islands, you went right passed Pirates Cove which is a secluded beach. Also John Wayne airport is a fantastic airport in fly into OC. We just flew to Ohio to visit my parents from LAX airport, it would have been so exciting if I’d have seen you there! So glad you had fun fishing and made it home safe! Those thrifted baskets are great!!!
That was fun going on that trip with both of you. Mackerel is good tasting but has a lot of little bones. I am 73 and love to fish. Lucky for me I live on the coast of Maine. Thanks so much for sharing!

I really enjoyed this! Santa Monica was a favorite hang out as I was growing up. Every weekend! Great memories. And Pacific Park (P.O.P) is where my parents met when dad was in the Navy. They were married not long after ~ so this had extra special sentimental meaning. Every vlog you do is fun and or meaningful thank you for all you do for all your viewers🙏💙
