A LESSON IN Form Crumpled Paper

Welcome to Art!
Form is one of the elements of visual art which pertains to the way that a shape or physical configuration occupies space. For a three-dimensional work of art like a sculpture or work of architecture, form is the shape, structure, and arrangement of components like length, width, and depth.
Form can be either real, actually three-dimensional, or implied, a two-dimensional piece that only appears to be three dimensional.
Needed for this project is two pieces of paper, something to draw with and perhaps something to add color with.
This project incorporates many of the elements of art such as line, shape, value, color, space as well as form! It is also an opportunity to hone planning, sketching, drawing and shading skills with emphasis on observation! It may be difficult for the younger students but everyone will enjoy the challenge!
At the end of this project, students will have a three-dimensional 'crumple' of paper and a two-dimensional drawing of it!
