One of the things I love about living in the West of Ireland as well as the land and seascapes of course... is the skyscapes and the light... So beautiful..
@@getawaygeese Yeah..if I'm having one of those 'will these grey wet dark winter days ever end' day... I just go to the coast or onto the nearby little Ox Mountains and bog lanes ...and immediately the colours and textures and space and openness of land and sky and the sheer sometimes sad beauty of it's inbuilt history have me saying ..I don't want to ever live anywhere else disconnected from this... And the wild wet dark days are more than compensated for by the moments the sun breaks through... those moments become treasures! But it's all riches in each season...
In the 70’s as kids we holidayed near five fingers strand and believe it or not tobogganed down those sand dunes!! It’s a stunning place that draws you back. In fact we were there just a few weeks ago!!!
Thanks for a lovely video full of great drone footage, so many huge beaches, far away breaking waves and the close by fascinating crashing waves, it was all so very good to watch !!!!!
This has tickled me ! Thats a good sign if your growled. I'm fairly sure if things ever kick off again we will completely forget our dog is in the cupboard 🤦♀️😂 jane ☺️
Thanks Jane and Stew for another lovely video, your phone dog certainly woke up my dog Captain from his slumbers and he proceeded to watch the whole episode intently 😂
Dear Stew and Jane, Thanks for the brilliant videos on Ireland. I did ask this question before but I don't think my comment got posted (user error!!) Your comments on the dog poo reminded me, Jane - are there dog poo bins in Ireland? (we don't have a dog but we do have a bivvy loo!) Safe and happy travelling Best wishes Nicky and Tim
Ok so not many to be honest but general waste at the amenity centre is fine as in nappies and old age pads etc so we always use the amenity sites - we do exactly as your doing Thanks for watching
What lovely scenery, atmospheric beach - I could sit for hours watching those wild waves on the rocks. And Wow, Hell's Hole was awesome ! So sorry Jane, that you are having such a stressful time about your Mom, hopefully all will be well 💙💙🦋
The markers were for all pilots as ireland is a military neutral country, hence German pilots would know they were over ireland and would not drop bombs.
Superb vlog yet again. The presentation is always so professional with wonderful imagery and narration. Thank you. PS: Which Apple laptop do you recommend?
Well I have an old MacBook Air subtitles at times so I would definitely up the spec on the processor next time - mind you it’s a few years old ( hate to think what the price would be ) Thanks for watching and commenting
I live just an hour away indeed the eire sign is to tell ww2airmen that they are flying over neutral country and by the way the last star wars movie had scenes filmed there and the road you came up was originally called the R313 but was changed to R2D2
We may not of explained it to well but that’s as we understand it Ireland allowed the signs so the Americans when they hit land from flying over the Atlantic they knew where they were

I think if you appreciate as you do the landscape then you will always gravitate to that

What a memory and I can imagine you doing that - it blew us away as the sun was trying to push through so we had this sea haze
Thanks for watching

Stray hair at 3.33. What naughty things have you been up to 😂 If you don't mind me saying so, your intro music is very militaristic. Makes me shiver 😮
I just had to watch 3.33 lol. Sorry to tell you its just a case of me shedding hair here there and everywhere. Thanks for watching - jane ☺️

Incredible scenery in this one. I thought the Eire 80 marker was for a helicopter landing point but no, thanks for all the info, fascinating 👍
Thanks for watching - I was way off with my guess lol

Cracking video as always guys ! Can I ask what model of drone are you using, thanks !
It’s the older dji mini 2 think it’s 4 or 5 now although the neo looks good and cheaper
@@getawaygeese excellent, thanks a million, quality is fab on your videos , you have a great eye for when to use it. Some really beautiful scenes !

Ah we read up about the signs but wasn’t aware of the road number change - brilliant
was told the numbers also signified that ireland was a neutral country so the allied airforces knew exactly where they were
We may not of explained it to well but that’s as we understand it Ireland allowed the signs so the Americans when they hit land from flying over the Atlantic they knew where they were
