My wife and I get bud from the dispensaries here in Vegas and she always goes for the highest THC % and it drives me crazy so many times we have gotten stuff that said 30-35% THC and it's not even that good I really doubt the numbers are legit. I just always ask the budtender what their favorite is and I'm never disappointed and they usually range between 15-20% it's not all about THC those terps make a huge difference.
Yeah, even 19% bud but with good terps will get you baked. Strong thc weed but low terps flavor gonna be meh and the other effects are eh but you would be high just a dry one
Last 2 times I copped from legal states. 1 they said was northern lights but looked like gorilla glue took 1 hit and I got all paranoid and felt like i got sprayed with bug spray. Next time was gorilla glue and I got all paranoid and felt sprayed with bug spray..2024 all gov. weed is sprayed with fetty, bug spray and girl hormones, weed doesnt even exist anymore.

Any general stoner thinks the more THC the better and dispensary's will always play to that. The whole THC dabs craze has a part to play also I think because it put a lot of hype around percentages when in reality that's not the core factor to a great flower.

iirc it's almost impossible to get more then 28.5% just because the plant needs the other stuff to be a functional organism. therefore stuff that's actually stronger has to be processed or pimped like hash, wex or moonrocks

In my opinion, chemotype is way more important than a thc metric. The chemical makeup of what you are smoking has more influenece on how you percieve it than simply thc numbers. Dont let them upsell you into a metric that has little meaning.
It’s legal. Just don’t be obnoxious and nobody will give you trouble. Indoors, don’t smoke, generally. Outdoors, don’t blow it in people’s faces and make some effort to be discreet around children and you should be ok. Common sense kind of stuff, really.
I was in Thailand for several months 23 years ago. At the time you could go to a very harsh prison for YEARS for being caught with literally a couple of grams of bud. My how things have changed.
People complain about high testing bud , but higher thc means the plant has reached a peak in its development. Good weed does test pretty high consistantly. Its not the same as buying everclear. Thats ridiculous.
It's not necessarily true that flower can't hit 35%, it is very rare though. But I live in Oklahoma, United States where medical is legal! And we do have a couple indoor grows who do produce high percentage thc flower!

Coming from the industry myself I wouldn't be surprised if the companies that claimed the upper 27-32% are putting the total cannabinoid content instead of just pure THC testing. It is a common problem I have been running into here with the US based market. They will advertise the total but when you arrive and actually look at the testing label it will show a lower THC testing.

i used to work for a farm in the U.S. and we would shake out our trim for keef and put that in our test bags that got sent off for labs to bump numbers. so yeah wed have outdoor testing at 28-30 and indoor as high as 35.

Here in Thailand you'd have to be careful.... I've bought weed that was most definitely sprayed with hairspray or whatever... Always check first and I'd recommend not to buy from shops that don't have air-conditioning. The heat really messes up the buds quick. And typically, the good shops are air-conditioned. Also, if you're in Thailand. I highly recommend ordering from Genetican. Swiss/Thai owned organic farm at fair prices. Good, organic stuff without any BS. They have tons of strains to choose from. Their farm is located in Petchabun province but they ship all across the country.
Commented this before, but Chiang Mai has the best weed in Thailand. A place called the dispensary in Nimman. You can literally trace each strain back to the farm. I had a 33% that was a legit 33%, way stronger than any bud I’ve ever touched. Looks like a lab in there.
Just yesterday I have seen a funny one: 50% THC for a wopping 2000 Bht/G ...crazy! The Bud looked frosty AF, like some 10/10 would, but blud those prices are delusional.

Are they claiming total thc? THCa? And what does your tester test for? Total thc (delta8,9,10 - mostly 9) is 87.7% of THCa content ( .877xthcA content = total THC content)
I've got a strain growing now that claims 30%+. It's called Galaxy 500. I plan on getting it tested when it's done. Either way, it looks frosty as hell in the 3rd week of flower. Way more than the other 3 i have going.
I normally pay 1000baht for three grams or an eighth in Pattaya which is about the same as New York City. Many of the higher end Thai weed stores are franchised from large companies some of which are foreign. They aren’t normally going to give you a reason to organize a class action suit.
Thc percentage is a very rough measurement. A strain with 16% delta 9 and 2% thc-p would have a stronger effect than a strain with 29% delta-9 and no thc-p for example.
I find it impressive that so many people speak English so well in Thailand. Also amazes me that the store signs and other things are written in English.
Yeah I live in Michigan a legal recreational state and on every label it is stated that the THC % is +/- 10 % so I rarely pay attention to the % because at a +/- 10% it is too wide of a margin to even care about

ITS NOT 100% ABOUT THC LEVELS. THE TERPS DETERMINE THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT MIXED WITH THE THC LEVELS. HENCE A 16% COULD AND IN SOME CASES HAVE HEAVIER EFFECTS WITH TERPS THAN SAY SOMETHING THAT 28% with different terps.

If it's legal to grow where your at, you can still find old school strains like thai,maui wowie or even mexi weed. But it might end up being stronger anyways if homegrown. It's kind of hard telling. It also depends how long it's grown for cut down early it can give kind of a edgy anxious high, too late it can make you too tired.
I mean, cannabis also has some percentage range in the cannabinoids percentages even from one plant, i know the lower grade buds most of time get used for extraction but still, nice accurate claims:] Especially for a "new comer" in legal means

I’m just curious what your delta 9 thc percentage is cause here in the states anything under 0.3 is considered hemp under federal law.
My local shops here constantly advertise “normal flower” up to 44%.. Should come visit and test.

i have noticd that all bud tests between 20 -27% how big is the difference??? a swing of 7% dont seem like it would make a huge change.
Are they claiming total thc? THCa?
And what does your tester test for? Total thc (delta8,9,10 - mostly 9) is 87.7% of THCa content ( .877xthcA content = total THC content)
I've got a strain growing now that claims 30%+. It's called Galaxy 500. I plan on getting it tested when it's done. Either way, it looks frosty as hell in the 3rd week of flower. Way more than the other 3 i have going.
I normally pay 1000baht for three grams or an eighth in Pattaya which is about the same as New York City. Many of the higher end Thai weed stores are franchised from large companies some of which are foreign. They aren’t normally going to give you a reason to organize a class action suit.
Hey additional comment, percentage in general doesn’t always matter. Terpenes and freshness comes into play a lot. Growing conditions as well.
Thc percentage is a very rough measurement. A strain with 16% delta 9 and 2% thc-p would have a stronger effect than a strain with 29% delta-9 and no thc-p for example.
I find it impressive that so many people speak English so well in Thailand. Also amazes me that the store signs and other things are written in English.

Yeah I live in Michigan a legal recreational state and on every label it is stated that the THC % is +/- 10 % so I rarely pay attention to the % because at a +/- 10% it is too wide of a margin to even care about

ITS NOT 100% ABOUT THC LEVELS. THE TERPS DETERMINE THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT MIXED WITH THE THC LEVELS. HENCE A 16% COULD AND IN SOME CASES HAVE HEAVIER EFFECTS WITH TERPS THAN SAY SOMETHING THAT 28% with different terps.

Siam Green is quite cool. They have some really fire merch in the shops and you can find them around thailand as well in some places. Really hope they dont change the law soon to make it medical only, would be 2 steps forward, 3 back.
I'm looking at a jar of 38% 2x35%'s, a 32%, and a 30% right now of American medical. At this point in time, I don't see why Thailand can't be capable of producing numbers like that and I don't see why they should be scoffed at for claiming to make 30%, jmo
in nature above 25 it is very difficult, maximum 30 if you crossbreed with particularly strong genetics...over 30 is not natural genetics, that's what the books say...but in Italy politicians talk about deadly THC...I say that even if for example THC 20 is not a problem if other cannabinoids also balance the balance go clean and cbd max 5 and can do another joint...in Italy 40 CBD and 0.2 THC...in Italy they destroyed the life of the plants

If it's legal to grow where your at, you can still find old school strains like thai,maui wowie or even mexi weed. But it might end up being stronger anyways if homegrown. It's kind of hard telling. It also depends how long it's grown for cut down early it can give kind of a edgy anxious high, too late it can make you too tired.
