Any body know what npc uses the flare animation please?? Ive tried every darn one nearly now ... tis a tad tedious trying to find the right npcs for the right animations =0/ youd think ubisoft would of had some indication on that !!

are you using a move and defend box? with animation inside? and Npc hooked to box? if you pause in the video you will see the set up i used. hope this helps.
Yh ive tried all the boxes etc.. ?? Lol i think it just may be the hilly terrain around it?? Ive got it working on other ai's?? Not to worry i shall work around it lol thanking you kindly for the help =0)
You would simply have to put the control zone before the climbable object/ have no climbable area for the AI to stop at/climb on Ive had this trouble alot, but also make sure there isnt a window nearby they will tend to jump through occasionally but yeah, hope this helps.
I have problems too but I use animations without the boxes, but I use the right animations with the right npcs but it won’t work for some reason. Is it because I put the npcs on top of a building or something?
Did you try raising the npc a little above the surface. how many animations are in the area? Could be alotta things Lion. are your animations on loop, if not what are the settings. hope this helps.
DopeyGamez my npcs are perfect in touch with the ground before I start the game but when i start the game they fly a bit above the surface so I think that’s the problem, honestly I think this is just an early map editor bug
I don't know your exact problems here. So i can tell some things I have encountered. Some animations work with certain npc's. meaning if you put animation meant for other type npc it may be ignored. If you use to many animations a section grid of the map the animation may be ignored. my rule is 5 animations. If this was my map. I would pull all other npc's and animations from that part of the grid square on your map. And work with that npc isolated until you get your desired result. This may be changing the npc or animation or binding box.Then I would add back your assets one at a time making sure they work with your first npc. Hope this help. And thanks for the comment.
Yes and no, You can set the npc AI to go to a certain place. You can't mark player for that npcs. So if you make a path the player must follow and connect npc to a binding box at the end of path. You should get the result your looking for. thanks for the comment.

oh, yeah, so i'm having diffculties with the wrong animation for npc type, i kinda figured this was a thing but i was wondering if there is a way to tell if the animation will work before loading in and seeing the character move?
Yeap. explore will let you check animations . I make it a rule to explore every five moves or so. they are cookie cutter statements. So try different things. good luck. let me know if it works out.

Ori Noco if it is under the cautious category, the ai have to be alerted of an enemy first before doing the animation

Does each character need their own control point. Some of my characters won't use animations even with loop indefinitely.
