In no offense to this guy, I have a drummer who does that to me. Her name is emilee HudsBeth and she plays for POA worship. Ken sharp is really good but I prefer his fast stuff
It's not the drum nor the the strings of the bass and guitar. Even the worship leader and back ups. It's the HOLY SPIRIT working! Even when I can't see it, You're working! Even when I can't feel it, You're working!

I've been playing bass professionally for 30 years, and this guy is an absolute monster on the drums!! And in a full suit... even buttoned jaket!? Plus, when you play like that, you can make any drum face you want. LOL. The whole band is amazing really, and this is a great tune... but man, this drummer!! :-)

☝️ This is nifty stuff. And I LOVE the snare and cymbals on this kit. Whole thing is on point.
At 6:20 seconds. I adopted that build for every worship song pretty much lol. And it doesn’t get old. The worship team asks for it with their sign language when we are in the middle of the service and I use it on the cymbals and at 7:20 the cymbal build too progressing to the snare. It’s such a powerful statement. I can’t do the Tom triplet fill because by then I’m exhausted but it’s good watching people who serve from the heart because they do things that others can’t. When people show off they aren’t playing fast for worship they play fast so people can hear it but when you see drummers and musicians like Mike here you absorb it because you can hear the song in his heart

This has got to be the rowdiest version of this song and I love it. Your chops and well placed accents are so great. I've played kit for a couple + decades but 2~ mins in til about 9 mins deep his beats are just about out of reach cuz it's so expertly played and sauced up!! Totally Increds version of this amazing track! Flooring, yet inspiring. So 🔒ed in and yet "loose" where needed. To God be the glory but thanks for sharing that talent with the rest of us, Mike!
This is all the holy spirit playing with him, worshiping in all his skills. not overplayed but all sweet sounding to our God who is smiling while you play! God bless you! I miss playing like this in my church when all of the band members just closes our eyes but we are still in sync with every beat and every strum every key is all music and just an offering to our God who is happy seeing his children praising him

I think that happens in many churches. My husband is an amazing drummer. And when he is so connected to God during the praise and worship he plays hard. That's his communication with God. But he has been criticized for it but I tell you play how the holy spirit tells you to play and never change it for anyone. So keep going. If you have that anointing keep going and play for God he gave you that gift. It is also your weapon for warfare. God bless....
