Thank you so much. As a new user who just downloaded eclipse, I was stumped for an hour just trying to get the thing to run hello world. It gives an option to create a file populated with hello world already, but even if you select that, it just gives you errors. This fixed it though, so thank you. Also though I did find out that on top of doing this, I also needed to install a compiler. Apparently, that is separate.
Ctrl+B -> build project - easy enough. Eclipse should notify you that the project has not been built yet and ask you if you would like to build it like most every other IDE. Good vid!
From the looks Eclipse for C++ seems work in progress. I hope intellisense is more... catering than in MSVS 2019. @7:21 the error pops up because you haven't built the project yet and there's nothing to run. You press Ctrl + b in order to build the project. You should explain _why_ you do certain cryptic things.
I dont usually leave comments but this vid was great. Tried using visual studio but it was too confusing. I've been using eclipse with java for years, so figured id give it a shot with C and it works great!
Visual Studio is way easier. This code just works in Visual Studio without any hassles at all but not in Eclipse. I've been struggling with eclipse with java for years. No luck. Thought I would try C++ but no. Doesn't work. Eclipse a piece of crap. Wasted so much time over years. Sorry for sounding angry but I am ANGRY!! Just need to let off some steam :)
Hello everyone! Just for the beginner please can you tell me. I've watched another vide, there was c programming tutorial using vscode. There was printf statement. And main function has no void inside parentheses. Why do these hello world programms looks so different?
I get "Launch failed. Binary not found," still. If I can't get this thing to work, I'm going to have to drop the class, because I can't do the assignments without it.
I followed the same procudure but here is the error I get when I enter ctrl B : (How can I fix it?) 19:25:44 **** Incremental Build of configuration Debug for project MyFirstC **** make all Cannot run program "make": Unknown reason Error: Program "make" not found in PATH PATH=[/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/usr/local/games:/snap/bin:/snap/bin] 19:25:44 Build Failed. 1 errors, 0 warnings. (took 3ms)
Tried this but it doesn't work. Wasted hours. Just errors: unresolved inclusion and . Could do this is 5 mins in Visual Studio. Eclipse is useless. Why doesn't this just work? I'm guessing no one knows.
LIFESAVER I watched a million videos and this is the only one that worked, thank you so much!!!

Thank you, man!
May i ask have you already installed mingw prior to downloading eclipse?
How could you compile c/c++ without mingw?
It has a compiler, otherwise it wouldn't be able to build and run as seen in vid. But I have the same question about using mingw.
Great video man ,thanks a lot !
I did everything and hit command+b and it still didn't work. I received "invalid active developer path. Build might be incomplete" error message
