I'm really interested in learning about the Ethiopian church, of late there's been a lot of dissatisfaction about Christianity in the African youth and the black race in general claiming Christianity is the religion of the colonizers and slave masters...I think it's a great time for evangelists and missionaries from the Ethiopian and Egyptian churches to reach out to the black people, so that we can own our Christianity. Hope to visit Ethiopia soon for more insights...

Many "Church Fathers" were from Africa. Do you know that Tertullian who was a North African is the "Father of Latin Christianity" and the "Founder of Western Theology"? The history of christianity specially the ancient christianity is greatly tied with Africa particularly Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan. 💖

"The more we learn about the Church, the more we fall in love with it." This is very true. St. Jared (ቅዱስ ያሬድ) of Ethiopia said the following about the Church: "ርኢክዋ፣ አእመርክዋ፣ አፍቀርክዋ" meaning "I saw her, I knew her, I loved her."

I was born in France from Senegalese parents. I always wondered about Ethiopia 🇪🇹 . Everything you explain in the video indicates that this particular group of Ethiopian have nothing to do with Roll or the Catholic Church, and I am glad! Now you never said anything about the Gospel. I was born and raised a Muslim in a Catholic nation but then when I read in the United States I heard the true gospel of Jesus Christ and I believe that. I am now a Baptist which comes from Anabaptist which come from the people who were persecuted for 1400 years by the Catholic Church and other groups. The same Gospel message (Free Gift) Jesus taught the apostles and the apostles to all men throughout the world.

I respect the Ethiopian Church more than any other church, but what rational Muslim would convert from Islam to Christianity unless he didn’t understand his religion very well? Islam is the natural progression of all the earlier Prophets’ messages. The Quran sent by God settles the disputes surrounding the nature of Jesus. All existing Christian sects are only the result of human speculation about Jesus’s nature without divine authorization. Interestingly enough, the Ethiopian Church led by Negus As-Huma, accepted Islam during Muhammad’s time. This paved the way to the flourishing of Islam in Ethiopia today.

    • @marcuslebeau
      @marcuslebeau 4 месяца назад

@@yushaq2434 the Quran is false. It contains the worst possible absurdities, and the Quran contains zero prophecies. The personage of Islam couldn’t perform a single miracle and he contradicted the gospel of Jesus Christ. The personage of Islam didn’t speak for God just to let you know.

      Dear Muslim
Don't try to.manipulate like the west or using taqiya like the Arab Muslims who came to africa to slave blacks.
Mr Muhammad the founder of islam and his companions ran away from persecution in Arabia and asked help to the orthodox Christian kingdom to get a safe heaven in the first hijira and the orthodox kingdom gave them a.protection and a place to stay. Mr Muhammad agreed on Ethiopian bible.
Ethiopia is the first Christian nation.
Islam tried to attack Ethiopia so many times but failed.
      Sahih Hadith telling us
Mr Muhammad bought sold and traded black slaves.
Mr Muhammad the founder of islam had 16 privileges given by so called Allah or himself and most of them are sexual preferences.
Islam is a cult founded by a mad Arab and a false prophet.
Mr Muhammad took a six year old and had intercourse when she was nine year ld girl.

I learned some things from this! I've been studying Church history for a long time. I'm not familiar with those teachings that you say came from the Jesuits. I'm Latin Catholic, and know that the weakness of human communication caused different language and cultural groups to misunderstand one another when defining concepts to each other. I know it's important to get it right, so I wouldn't say it's not important how we express things. I just wonder if those 2 false teachings you refer to fall into a misunderstanding of the concepts being expressed? But I leave it to the Hierarchy to agree on proper expression. May we be one as Christ and the Father are One.

The Lutheran Church has a record of fellowship between The Orthodox Tawahedo Church and the Lutheran Church established by one Deacon Michael. Do you have a record of this event?

So wait I have a question. Great presentation by the way. My question is was “The Son” fully man fully divine after or before his incarnation from Virgin Mary. I know some books in the Bible saw the son of man before he even came down to this world (the book of Enoch & Daniel). I just want to rap my head around it. I’m a bit confused thank you so much!

The word Church is an English thing. The word Ecclesia is not "old" it is still the name in Greek and Latin. And other languages don't use the term Church.

I have been called to Tewahedo for many years now & am eager to learn as much as I can, there is a church local to me, very small, not sure if they are still operating or not.
