When we travel by bus, we have the chance to see non-glamorous places of the city we're heading to. I particularly like this because it shows me places that I probably wouldn't see otherwise.
The areas around the terminals often seem "tougher" than the touristy ones - these are probably the most real part of the city.
I consider bus terminals the perfect starting point to begin exploring a new place that amidst the confusion and chaos, welcomes you with colors, sounds, and smells - in all their forms.
