Very nice place. I have always bean a fan of older homes. They are always so interesting and unique. I'm actually as well in the process of looking for an older home to buy.
Your finished bathroom looks beautiful! You really have a knack for doing these renovations, I'm sure your house will be amazing once it's done! And then you can come over and start working on mine :D
Very nice house! Solid bones are what is most important! I'd suggest if you want outdoor lights looking into solar lights. No cords running around. We have some in the front landscaping and they work great. The only drawback is if you don't get a ton of sunlight to them they might go dim before morning but throwing in fresh batteries seems to help matters. I'm sure that's low on your list, however.
Wow I’m so late on congratulating you on the house.... like 2 years late! Lol. You did so much! You should do a 2 year update if anything has changed. You have really great taste !
I'm in the process of buying my first house too. Nice place you have there. I'm not wanting to do as much remodeling but you're doing a good job with it.
Wow seems he was growing the state plant of colorado😂 House looks amazing and is coming along perfectly can't wait to see how that master bath turns out with that beautiful tile
Nice tour video, the remodels are coming out nice and modern. Just that back entry way seems too small, like you can barely close the door without having to go on the stairs. So I assume now you have a full time job? Care to share any more about that (job category, description, etc.)....
This is awesome! Once you finish up the house, with your knowledge and expertise in the hospitality industry, you should rent out one of the rooms on Airbnb.
Nice house! Good job renovating so far. I must point out: Hopefully the electrical wires coming out of the basement window are on a GFCI circuit. If not, potential fire hazard. The "Convenience" of the lowered floor in the basement might be because it floods, not for extra ceiling height. That's why all the important stuff is "Elevated" from the floor. This place must've had extensive rehab beforehand, albeit wrong, as you pointed out. The hint is removing drywall. Drywall was not a thing in the 20s, so you'd have plaster and lath. That would really make a mess of things if it was still there.
Thanks! Good chance I'm going to just remove the back yard lights entirely. They're poorly installed (shocker) and quite a few don't work. The seller seemed to hint that he was in the process of finishing the basement in the listing. And given the plumbing he (poorly) added in for an additional bathroom, I believe that was the intent. Though the current situation certainly would help in the event of a flood.
congratulations on your purchase. cool house. i am just about to buy a house too. its scary expensive here (australia). i am looking at about $750k aud, which is about $560k usd. the wife and i earn good money so it makes it easier.
Congrats on the new pad Jacob! Now, make that "grow room" work for you and your expensive travel hobby instead of acting like it's too far beneath your dignity...!

Just be warned, they can be a lot of work, but if done right they’re awesome
You should get the basement finished
I figured something was up with the DieselDucy videos. Congratulations on the new house; hope it gives you many, many years of great service.

Looks great, so far. Those are the weirdest bathrooms I've ever seen, but you've certainly made them work. Can't wait to see a grand reveal video.

Could you make that odd room (likely made drugs in) a bathroom, or closet?
Make sure you get Tyler TTV701-7 7 inch portable TV that has Lithium-Ion battery
from amazon in case of power outage
Love the front porch. Looks like a very nice house you got there.
Awesome job so far! Can’t wait to see how the rest of it turns out!
Jacob, you have a recalled Kidde fire extinguisher. I highly recommended calling them to get a free replacement.

At 1:46 I feel like I'm in the same neighborhood in the opening scenes of "King of Queens," which is supposed to be in Queens, NY.
For the lights in the family room... you insulted my dining room chandelier. But thanks for doing that because we hate it.
Wow seems he was growing the state plant of colorado😂

Excellent video! What neighborhood in South City? Looks south of Chippewa to me.
Nice house.
20:34 so the 2nd bedroom originally had a bathroom, but the master didn't?

From what I gathered, he works IT!
I wonder if the previous owner had a dog to go through the little doggie door?

Did you find out what's under the toilet yet?
18:50 why would you be able to see into the shower but not out? Shouldn't that be switched?
The toilet is in the middle of the room in the main bathroom and its irritating me haha
