Good review of a shoe that hasn’t been reviewed much. Not sure “don’t expect much and you won’t get much” will appear on Altra’s marketing material though! 😊
Thanks! I've heard a lot of good things about inov-8. I actually had a pair of their road runners that I loved before I went down the zero drop route. I'll check them out for sure!
I have them but use them only on the road. I bought them to have one shoe that wasn't zero drop. The fit is really great, perfect I would say. The midsole for the road is quite hard but it makes up for it in excellent transition no matter how you land. I use them for intervals up to 1k, for longer intervals I like the Vanish Tempo much more, more comfort and more efficient. Like you said nothing stands out, but that's exactly what I was looking for and why I like them.
Great review 👌A real pleasure to see a review from an Altra user! Evetything seems to be really good and that the quality is there (it's reassuring). I am attracted by the rocker shape and even if it is a 4mm drop, I don't really think I feel it because I have a forefoot stride. For the size, I size in 11 US in escalante for example. Do you think it is necessary to choose an 11.5?
I think that you are Very optimistic… 😂😂😂 Im going to tester one pair and i tell you on my first 100k, but i think that they are less confortables than Torin 6…
@bastianchapman9774 Yeah, that's why these shoes reviews are hard because a lot of it is up to your preferences and body mechanics. My favorite altra road shoes are the vanish tempos, and I never really hear people even talking about those 🤣

Great Review! I would recommend to try the Inov-8 Trailfly G270 V2, the best Shoes ive had so far. Greetings from Europe!

La sportiva boshido 2 were great for trails as well. Granted I have flatter than flat feet.

Vanish Tempos are my go-to shoes for roads and groomed trails! I destroy them in 200-300 miles but they are great!
@@WayneCapacillo yeah I love them as well, I've had multiple pairs, outsole wear definitely is the weak point.
good review. thanks!
Thanks!
