All fantastic choices. For the life of me I can’t find OGD 114 in my area but picked up a bottle of OGD Bonded and really enjoy it. Especially at around $20!
Only not there do to limited availability in too many places. The allocation of Buffalo Trace is ridiculous but I agree it definitely could be in the mix! Cheers 🥃
Great video, WT101 and OGD114 are my go to's but have tried most of the others and agree with your assessments. Would also suggest the WT101Rye if you want to step up the spiciness but dont feel it's that much more than the regular 101.
Agree, just not overly available for moat so I left it off. I agree if it were more available it would have been in that list. Thanks for watching! Cheers 🥃
I find OGD114 to be pretty nasty. Peanuts, leather, and ethynol. Young and harsh. Swap it out with a $29.99 bottle of Coopers Craft barrel reserve and your list would be near perfect.
I’m new to drinking bourbon and absolutely love your channel! I’ve been watching a lot of bourbon channels lately and yours and The Mash Drum are great!
Thanks Christian! Really appreciate that very much! Feel free to shoot me an email if you ever have any questions, my email is in the description of the video! Appreciate you watching and commenting! Cheers buddy 🥃
Great choices, love the Old Forrester 100 as a daily sipper and agree with most here.Buffalo Trace getting harder to find but the Russels Reserve works as well I agree we are fortunate to have all of these to choose from in this $ range.Great video!
In time on whiskeytube where it's endless $80+ video after video or unobtanium I want to THANK YOU for taking the time to make a video like this. Not everyone is a whiskey-snob and there are a LOT of real solid affordable whiskies out there most folks should give a try.
Hey Paul, Thank you and I couldn't agree with you more. I do have an under $40 and $50 coming soon as a lot of great whiskey that's still affordable fall into. Cheers buddy 🥃
Cheers buddy! Hey you can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning, lol. Thats such a great bourbon for under $30 really hard to beat. Cheers 🥃

Hey Ty, agree! Some of those lines by MGP are sleepers no doubt. Jason and I are hoping to do a Remus pick this year. For me that's a bit of a sleeper bourbon as well. Appreciate you watching and commenting! Cheers buddy 🥃
Great list of bourbons Scott!!! Keep the content coming. One of our favorites is the Evan Williams single barrel it's proofed down but I believe a solid bottle and pick one up each year.
Top Dog my man!!! Lol the little 50ml Makers. I didn't realize until late I didn't have a bottle of regular Makers! Appreciate you watching and commenting! Cheers buddy 🥃
Great collection there. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this list to a person starting into bourbon collecting. Here in Kentucky, that list would run about $230. Looking forward to the $40 and $50 lists. Happy New Year.
Cheers Robert! I appreciate that. In addition to my under $40 and & $50 bourbons I'm considering doing a video of "Building a Bourbon Collection" thanks again for watching and commenting! Cheers 🥃
Good ole Canada! Take about 35% off that price and it equals about what we'd pay here in general. My in-laws live in Canada so I'm very familiar with the increase in pricing.
Nice list. Some of my favorite daily sippers there. I would also add the new 90 proof version of EW1783 at right around $14. I wasn't very keen on it before but the new release is pretty tasty and a great value pour.
I agree with you 100% this list was at or around $30 but more than $20. Spoiler alert, I will have my Beat bourbons under $20 coming out soon and that may or may not be on there, lol. Cheers buddy! 🥃
@@mybourbonjourney My bad. I forgot the cutoff was $20. I look forward to the upcoming video. Many times we get caught up in the bourbon hype and can forget about the great budget pours that can be had by anyone. I know I'm guilty of it. Cheers!
Good list Scott. I personally would have found a way to throw Early Times Bottled in Bond in there somewhere. 1liter for under $30 and good in my opinion. For my liking I would have removed 4 roses or 1792 and put ET instead but it’s your list and you did great. Thanks for the informative videos!
Hey E, unfortunately that Early Times just isn't very available in most places or else I would have. I completely understand what you're saying though! Cheers buddy 🥃
@@mybourbonjourney Completely understand Scott. Funny you mention availability…just this weekend someone in a local FB bourbon group mentioned how he would see OGD 114 everywhere when he was living in Tennessee and now he moves here to Texas and is having trouble finding it. The bourbon game is crazy sometimes. Even ET BiB was hard to find last year after they changed owners.
Thank you very much! Only reason it's not on the list is due to its limited availability for a lot of people or else it would have been on there. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers 🥃
10 + 3 and you'd have easily covered all my bases. (+Buffalo Trace, Early Times & Larceny). Great Bourbons for at an excellent prices! Always on the shelf.
OF 100 Is absolutely my go to personally on any night I'm not looking for anything special. For the price and proof turkey 101 is the only other thing available near me that compares
nice one ! all great pours ! havent had the 1792...or 4 roses small batch...but i think i can find them (except the OGD 114 / i can get OGD BiB though ) game on ! if these were the only bourbons a person could get, I think they would be happy ! cheers Scott !
Hey Chris! Man I couldn't agree with you more! All great bourbons and I'd be content for sure! Thanks for watching and good to see you in the comments! Hope you're well! Cheers 🥃
Nicely done Scott. Always a tough pick because there are a lot of good tasting bottles out there for the price. It's always fun to hear about those less expensive "daily driver" spirits that are easy to find and won't break the bank. A couple I have gotten into lately are Old Bardstown and Evan Williams 1783. Both are in that sub $30 range and very nice sippers. After watching this video I had to go through my list (now nearing 160 bottles) and pick out the cheapies and revisit for a tasting. Here's a few on my "Honorable mentions" list: Very Old Barton (both the 86 and 100 proof.) , Rebel 100, Old Overholt BIB, and Old Tub Unfiltered (100 proof) Your suggestion to check out Kirkland Small Batch (from Costco) was a low dollar winner for me sneaking in at $26 a litre) Sorry to be so long winded. Cheers Chasers!
Thanks Mike, I have recorded already my under $20 $40 and $50 videos just have to get them edited and released at some point. Was really fun to do. Obviously subjective but fun to do as a guide! Cheers buddy 🥃
Nice list! If I had to nitpick I'd omit the WT101 (find it harsh and young and no need if you have Russell's : ) and the Maker's flagship. For a couple bucks more the 46 is light years better. Great recs all around though!
I can understand that! I juat figured for me its a classic one and didn't want people stealing away from it, as for the Makers 46 completely agree, it was just a little higher in price so I will hold that out for my Under $40 bourbons list coming soon. Cheers 🥃
Hey Gotti! Partially because of that and I agree its a really nice under or around $30 bourbon I just had to cut the list of somewhere, lol. Appreciate you watching and commenting, Cheers 🥃
Great review Scott. OGD 114 is the only one that you can't buy here in Australia, the rest are readily available, with RR 10 being my favourite. Would be interested in a review of little known bourbons under $30 bourbon, I know there are hundreds of bourbons out there that we have never heard of here in Australia. Cheers from Oz.
Thanks for all of the suggestions. I'm new to bourbon and the only ones I've tried on your list are the Wild Turkey 101 and the Elijah Craig. I've also had Basil Hayden and Jim Beam Double Oak. So far, the Elijah Craig has been my favorite. With that said, which of the bourbons you listed would you suggest I try next.
Hey Paul, welcome to the whiskey community! Why don't you give the Russell's 10 a try, I think you'll really enjoy it. Let me know what you go with and how or if you enjoyed it more or less than what you've tried. Thank you for watching and commenting! Cheers 🥃
Don’t forget Coopers Craft 100 proof which can be had for under $30. An excellent bourbon with just the right blend of sweet, spice and oak. You reviewed it almost a year ago and loved it. It’s a sleeper that punches well above its price. Nice list by the way.
I couldn't agree more, the only issue is its just slightly out of that $30 price point moist of the time but it will definitely be in my beat bourbons under $40. Thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers 🥃
Great video!! 👍👍
The old forester 100 is my absolute go to. Fly’s under the radar just the way I like it.
