The primary benefits of MATRIX drive topology (i.e. U1000) are the ability to regenerate power back to the line, and harmonic mitigation. Medium voltage applications tend to be non-regenerative. For most MV applications, the topology of the MV1000 effectively mitigates harmonic distortion, and provides a more cost effective solution than a fully regenerative MATRIX topology.
