- August 21, 2021 - One of my childhood elevators from 2014. They used to be Seeco from 1996 according to what I person I know who lives there, told me. They used to be black buttons by the same company. It's still sad that I only got to see it once because they got modernized in 2015 and are no longer single-speed. As far as I can think, they add voices and music, upgraded the controls to make them smooth though they're functioning more slowly than before. They still have that characteristic which is 100% similar to a manually controlled elevator, which is to call the elevator. This thing is also slow for 11 floors, travels at like 150 FPM. As for this one, the voice is kind of annoying and funny. Even one of the segments inside the floor indicator isn't working.
Stay tuned for a video of the other elevator in action!

Apologies for the misunderstandings but i first saw them in 2014, not 2012.

I love the Indian voice on those elevators.
Me too
Nice music you added 😌😌👍 and manual lift is awesome auto speak 👌👌
Thank you, that's an outro music i added and i love manual ones despite how unsafe they're as per today's elevator safety standards
Wait wait who made this elevator
The indicator is a bit glitchy.
it's just, one segment is not working
@@NeilPrasad_1905Ok, got it.
Does this both lifts have single shaft or seperate shafts because they are very near to near
Separate
How common/rare is it to find an elevator in a caged shaft in India, and how old would it be?
I was doing some research, and came across a building in Mumbai that has a gated elevator (run by an elevator operator, but with floor buttons so it doesn't seem to be manually-controlled) in a caged shaft.
It's like found in most low-rise buildings up to 12 to 15 floors, mostly old ones.
And if you're saying a non-manually-controlled elevator has an operator, it's for safety and security purposes. Some low-rise apartments do use that policy in case young children try to play with the elevator too much.

It is fairly common to find an elevator in a caged/"birdcage" shaft, at least in old buildings? (specifically, not just with open gated shaft doors, but where all sides of the shaft are caged, often where the stairwell goes around the elevator shaft? I was aware that gated elevators, including those with gated shaft doors are likely common in India (at least in residential buildings), but I wouldn't have expected that caged/"birdcage" shafts would be common to find.
I will also mention that the building where I found photos of the elevator has a hotel in it (though I don't think the hotel actually occupies the whole building).
@@upanddownadventures Actually, from what i know, gated elevators in caged shafts are found in art-deco buildings in India as if they are placed in the orifice of the staircase. Like Chateau Windsor Hotel in Churchgate, Mumbai which has a vintage cage shaft gated elevator from 1941.

That is actually the elevator I saw a photo of! As I said, there is an operator running it. I don't know if you can film it, but if you do I would love to see the video.
I already filmed it back in July and yes, the operator is still there. If you saw the image, the cab did get some update because of the renovations and by the way, it's still original.
The display inside the lift has a problem.

Yeah, one of the segments is not working right. It's still the same issue because I saw them again in August this year.
This elevator is so rickety and the fan is very annoying on this elevator.
Unfortunately, you can't go faster than 0.63 m/s on a gated elevator
@@NeilPrasad_1905Yeah that’s possible. But the loud fan makes the elevator creepy.
I like how they call the fire lift as that for namesake only but instead they use it as a regular lift while keeping the other one switched off.
I like the music on this one. Also noticing that in these Generics, it is sharing that landing call recognition from older manual lifts.
This is why I don’t feel like filming lifts in apartments, random people show up and that puts you in the spot.
Do you by chance know the frequency of how often they change lift operations?
As for this undisclosed apartment, both of them have another switch ( one for each lift ) in the meter room of the building, that's how they turn on/off those lifts and use only one unless it's high time they have to use both of them in response to an extreme number of people using it
That depends on the operator when to turn on/off which of the 2 lifts and operate them accordingly. Normally they have operators but strangely i found no operator so i got a chance to film them myself
@@NeilPrasad_1905 Ah interesting. Because when you filmed each one the other was switched off so I assumed they followed a pattern. So you're saying that the schedule is arbitrary?
@@praneeth_wtby kind of like that
Can you film the elevator in the apartment if you are a resident?
That case is the worn-out KONE
The manual door in elevator must replace with automatic door because is too dangerous
At places like these apartment buildings, it depends on the affordability and yeah, they want to make it as safe as possible.
From what I saw last year, one of the elevators got it's manual open doors replaced with accordion gates
very fast lift
You can kind of say so for a gated.
🎉🎉
Elevator love muaif
Music
Can you tell the name of this music which this elevator played
I don't really know that at all.
@NeilPrasad 1905 But atleast this music is common in these elevator
@@somashreeroy4141 is that so? Since generics are extremely common, I'd find out on my own, which music is common
