Y'know, it really shows when Max says some places he worked if you have time to look at the clock you're not working enough was a serious statement just why so many ppl like working at or watching Hercules. Not just the way accidents like dropping candy are handled, but also the work environment (like customers) is better if ppl are happy. You can tell how kind Max is when he came running to help Joe and make sure he was okay. Everyone seemed to handle the candy drop well, like no one seemed to get angry over the accident. That is nice to see!
I mean, it's only probably $30 max in ingredients for the entire batch. The crazy thing is they take those ingredients and turn it into $430 after it's packaged into 8oz bags and sold for $8.99 each.

Judging on the stories of Steve as a dad to his kids I'm not surprised with how he handled that but that is just so refreshing to see that those people are out there. What a wonderful work environment and his kids were some of the luckiest kids in the world with parents that handle things so great. I placed my first order after seeing this video. The candy is amazing, just like I knew it would be! As I opened my order I couldn't help thinking of the people that made the candy, packed it and shipped it! I feel like I know you all. And the candy tastes just like I imagined!

I think it was just that they were busy, in combination with the candy stuck more to the kettle then usual, so it kicked their timing out of whack. I could be wrong, but it seems like a bunch of things worked against them- like Max said- the candy had behaved strangely all day.
I got the impression in previous videos that Joe was proficient on the hook. I think Max is also more cautious by nature, so asked for spotting even after he didn't need it.
