    A complete frame off restoration has just been completed on this 1986 Ford Bronco XLT. This Bronco is powered by a smooth running 302 V8 with a 4 speed transmission and it is 4 wheel drive. This is a very nice high quality frame off restoration and a real head turner wherever you go! Comes equipped with a Rough Country 4" Lift Kit, New Tires, Yukon 456 Gears Front and Rear, Power Windows, Ice Cold A/C, and much more! The paint is immaculate and all the chrome is in excellent condition.

    That’s my favourite of all the Broncos. I like the way they did the two tone paint job on them.

    I picked up an 86 fully loaded xlt. Only option it didn’t have was its the 302 instead of the 351. These are extremely reliable durable and super comfy,

    Where did you find he pinstriping between the two primary colors? Was it painted on? The OEM approach was a three color pinstripe decal, but I can't seem to find an aftermarket source.

    Definitely an awesome example. There's more going on than the guy knows.....the Ford 9" was last used in the Bronco in '83, and this one has a 9" Not sure what else is non-stock. I would swap out the lift for a better brand, and get some displacement under the hood.....Hmmm, Ford's new Godzilla crate engine would feel real good heading down the highway!

    • @dkel4341
      @dkel4341 3 года назад +1

      I know it’s an old comment but I feel compelled to correct you in case others read this. Ford used the 9 inch rear end in the bronco as late as 86’, so this could be stock. The 8.8 could be used as early as 82’ and is used on all Broncos after 86’. I have an 84’ XLT and my door code for my rear end is H6, which is a Ford 9inch with 3.50 gear ratio and lsd.

    • @agar4278
      @agar4278 3 года назад +1

      @@dkel4341 100% agreed! I completely forgot about my comment! I must have been talking out of my backside, as I have no idea where I got the "83 from. I must have tried looking it up or something, and gotten bad info. Shortly after my comment, maybe a couple of months, I picked up an '85 XLT and it has the 9" with the 3.50 ratio as well.

      @@agar4278 It is tough to find good information on these trucks. I only know because I need to buy a new 3rd member and axles to rebuild mine, so I’ve been doing a bunch of research. Congrats on your 85’!

    • @agar4278
      @agar4278 3 года назад

      @@dkel4341 I'm looking forward to building it! Can't decide if I want to beef up the 351W or attempt a Godzilla swap. The aftermarket isn't really there for these swaps yet, and I'm not that handy, so I would need an engineered kit, but man would that be killer.

    • @dkel4341
      @dkel4341 3 года назад +1

      @@agar4278 I have the 351W too. I use the bronco as my daily and the only off-road it will ever see are well maintained trails. For me the 351 with the 3 speed auto is more than enough for cruising around town. One day I will rebuild the motor and might add some cams and beef it up a bit, debated swapping to efi as well just to help with cold starts and stuff. You should look into cheap mods for the 351w, it has huge horsepower potential and can relatively easily get up to 400-450hp

  • @curlylarrymoe

    Truck looks good. I can tell the lift is crap though. You have drop brackets on the radius arms. Should have used extended radius arms. Drop brackets put too much torque on the frame. A Bronco is an offroad vehicle. Whoever did this did a good job for someone who knows nothing about offroading. Not to mention the blocks. A lift done completely wrong.

    • @noahgaray7923
      @noahgaray7923 4 года назад

      McFarland time to install the lift and the cost of the next lift. Also noticed the idle is very high
