- Just thought it would be fun to muse out loud and work on a journal in progress. This journal is in what I call my "Americana" or Primitive series. It has been two years since I was able to put something like this together. I love making these out of primitive rag papers and neutral - brown -cream - fawn shades. This is pretty much my creative process in action and it's fun to chat away... Please like and subscribe if you are inclined, as it helps the video somehow. Thanks so much for watching!

Well you've been thru hell and back, oh my goodness! I'm so glad you had a week off and couldn't do much but relax and self-care. You sound relaxed. I like the cardboard in the pocket trick a lot. I've put crumpled paper in the bottom of pockets to try to get things to stay upright, but it didn't always work. I would have knocked mr chirpy off the ceiling by now if I were living there. Oranges, apples, rocks would all work, right?! You and I have a similar journal making process, slow and lots of auditioning and using what is nearest to the project!!
