I used to love DnD and play it often but now that i moved schools i have no one to play with :( Great video by the way, just got this game on christmas :D
Finding people to play with is always the hardest part. I found that if you are willing to be the person to run the games people are usually willing to try it out at least once. Another option is playing Solo RPGs it's not ideal but it can be good to get that creative fix in if you can't find a group for DnD. Merry Christmas and good luck on your hunts!
When it comes to the equipment style DLCs you certainly dont need to own them all (i do) and only use a handfull as you can only carry so many guns and guns from newer backs made older ones "redundant" (in quotes because in this game all the means is they brought out a new rifle that holds one extra bullet, has slightly less recoil aka all things that are so minor we are hair splitting over what better) There is only 1 gun from dlc i actually class as mandatory and that getting a 22 rifle to shoot birds with and do the 22 trick to alert bigger animals so they give you a better shot. The 22 in weapon pack one is better (it has 10 shots vs the 22 in modern rifles having 5 shots) but the other 2 weapons that come in the pack you would most likely get more use of of modern rifles as that comes with the 308 ar (a class 4-8 rifle) were as weapon pack 1 comes with the recurve bow and crossbow. Without a 22 your only option in base game to shoot class 1s is to use the shot gun. (I think you own mississippi which does come with a 22h but thats class 1-2 and cant be used to do the 22 trick) thats the only gun i would say actually NEED. As for packs that make it easier either: the hunter power pack for the 7mm bolt action (4 bullet version of the base game rifle, its class 4-9) pretty sure the 338 bolt comes in this pack to and that works as a cheap mans 300 just fine it has slightly worse penetration (338 and 300 and both class 7-9 guns) Or High calibre hunting pack, the 10g shotty is great (only has 4 shots vs a map dlc gun than has 5 and a base game one with 6 but has broken the trend of more bullets equaling the better gun lol) and the 300 ar. As you will notice i only mentioned 2 guns from each pack, how weapon packs work is there is normally 1 gun thats the main reason for everyone to buy the pack and the other 2 guns are just like a bonus. But yeah either weapon pack 1 or modern rifles and then either power pack or high calibre and you will be able to shoot every animal in game ethically. There are other ones you could get that are more fun or may appeal to you more, i use the bolt 308 from the power pack as my main 4-8 rifle simply because i prefer the sound of the bullet. So this is just a "if you want the bare minimum DLC recommendation"
Thank you so much for this, I'll have to look into the packs for guns so far I've mostly just been getting the maps cause I felt like getting the guns without unlocking more would be a waste but it looks like there is a lot more too then than I thought. I'll have to make a fourth Call of the Wild video in the new year and try out some of these tricks.
@ yeah sorry you made an off handed comment so i word vomited apologises lol. Yeah the guns packs to be very simplistic about it are just better guns than you can get in the base game, but yeah it dose remove earning them since buying them unlocks them and there corrispoding ammo. Like the bolt 7mm uses the same ammo as the base game 7mm ammo (i cant remember off hand what the rifle score was to unlock it) but lets say its like 4000 rifle score to unlock the ammo for the gun if you buy the dlc it also removes the rifle score needed so you can buy it right from the jump. So yeah if you wanna still earn stuff might not be for you.
@@Sl1mch1ckens No need for apologies. This is all super helpful. I'll have to check and see how close I am to getting the rifle score to unlock the scope if I'm close I might not get the dlc one yet but we'll see!
Great video man, keep up the good work
Underrated
