I think the lamps being changed for LEDs, but leaving the fixtures themselves alone is a satisfyingly tasteful mod. They could've just slapped DMG on there! ;)
Back in the days, Schindler used Kronenberg fixtures on a lot of their Dutch elevators, before taking over this company. These fixtures could be found on a lot of Dutch elevators which were built back in 70's/80's/00's. Nice video!
it isnt supposed to be obstructed in any way, if the lift goes through the top or bottom its there to knock the power off on all 3 phases, its been tied up because its moving in som kind of way.
its usually brake slide on the top floor with an empty car, depending on how the lugs on the rope have been adjusted, the lift will slide higher because of the counterweight, theres something wrong with the brake, oil or the linings are worn, or its not adjusted right.
Dutch signs… Is it Belgium or the Netherlands ? The lift is apparently a 70's Schindler with 70's generic Krorenberg fixtures modernised at some point in the 1990's or 2000's
In accrington libary theres a Old thyssen lift that dates back to 1980 or 90 it has some mechanical problems like it says lift going up on the top floor or Just makes wierd sound.
Scary this elevator motoring is! You decide, worth is try go there... You'll be get is suddenly scare or very braveful action to it???When you came out of here, how you feeling now?
Looks like a Schindler with Kronenberg fixtures. Is this the netherlands? I see a silver, triangular “Liftinstituut” inspection sticker inside the cab.
It's an overrun switch. It's a static cable running from top to bottom of the shaft. The lift has a ring that travels along the entire length of it but never moves it. If the lift goes too high or low, then there is a nut which cannot travel through the ring and the cable is pulled in one direction. Inside the box in motor room is a trip switch which shuts down the lift which has to be manually reset.
The part that rocks back and forth is constantly accelerating and decelerating as the lift moves. There's a part of the switch that rests on the rocker. When the lift passes a certain speed, the rocker accelerates so much that it flings the switch off and trips its contacts.
This is a 2/1 rope system. The ROD things are the start of the ropes >>> to lift car, around a wheel >>> back to motor room >>> around the drive sheave (motor) >>> Down to counterweight >>> around another wheel >>> Back to motor room. That's why the lift moves at only half the speed that the drive sheave is moving.
It looks like PART 2 links to an incorrect video, it's a whole different video that has nothing to do with this one. The correct link to PART 2 of this video is at ruclips.net/video/0AlhTToQsZs/видео.html
Tbh you should have at least waited until the morning. Exploring an environment with high voltage equipment, while half asleep is not a good way to go.

They didn't even put a VFD yet, still 2 speeds

This is from the 2000s
Wow that motor uses so much energy that it dims the lights!
The Fan on the Motor makes it look like a turbo
Quite warm air coming out the other side of that motor
mrmattandmrchay - probably because it’s geared traction and it has to move so fast.
What a quiet motor room!
Fastest geared traction elevator ever seen!
like the ultimate limit tied up with bandages.
What is it supposed to be tied/linked onto? (serious question :) )

I hope that you eventually got some rest! :)
Yes, in the end it was straight to bed, then back on site early the next day. Working abroad - airport>>site>>hotel>>site>>home (+a few lift visits!!)
Dutch signs… Is it Belgium or the Netherlands ? The lift is apparently a 70's Schindler with 70's generic Krorenberg fixtures modernised at some point in the 1990's or 2000's
Netherlands. Thanks for msg

Yes, these are memories of the past for me. Typically Dutch models of lift?
Schindler is my favourite company!
If I were to choose a modern day lift, then Mitsubishi. Old lift, might have to agree with you there.
Scary this elevator motoring is! You decide, worth is try go there... You'll be get is suddenly scare or very braveful action to it???When you came out of here, how you feeling now?
Why are the signs in the elevator and in the motor room in Dutch, while the rest is in English?
Sorry no idea! I guess some bits were supplied from an English speaking country

Yup this is Netherlands
Interesting, at 12:18 when you push the button, the fan on the motor starts in anticipation of doing some work.
Does anyone know what is this rounded box to the left of the governor on 4:48, with the lever on it?
Oliwer Gumowski probably not but it might be an over run switch
Seems like some sort of a switch, I thought for a second it could be a sensor of some sort....

mrmattandmrchay yay I was right lol
Looks like it's been tied down.. with a piece of rope ??
contactors are the best part.
Loud relay time!
Speeking about old times. Do you have met any Hostaco elevators?
Nope, name doesn't sound familiar.
What kind of Shindlers are they ?
awesome
Did u ever hear of Armor Elevators?
How does the governor work?

Cool thanks
I work with that model every mouth
These PCBs don't have the 'romance' of the old relay logic cabinets do they? Typical of the youth of today - chips with everything! 😉
Another epic video!
Thanks
Very small machinery for the size of that room lol
There should be displays and indicators in the controller
yeah, quite a boring controller that one.
@@mrmattandmrchay Very difficult to find faults. There should be an LCD display in it
What are the 4 rod things coming up from the floor?

Cool
This still doesn't have a VFD
what are you doing in a Dutch speaking country??
Easy... European customers including some international ones - how do you think I filmed the Saudi Arabia video? :) Very handy for filming lifts!
But is it Belgium or The Netherlands? I guess Belgium based on the building style.
@@highvoltage1523 yes. Might be Antwerp. All the buildings close to Schiphol (Netherlands) are very modern.
15:19 what's that yellow thing with no ropes on but still turns if the lift is in use
Foxy flywheel
Paw Patrol NSFW thanks
Paw Patrol NSFW what exactly is the function of it in the lift?
Foxy to slow down the lift
Foxy because there is a large heavy mass it slows down the spin of the lift
It says staff use only!!! Lol

Many thanks! Now corrected :)
