Did we forget that musicians have definitely shredded in reggae and ska both?

Of course not, this is nothing new!

the backing track is barely reggae, though. I'd love to see this concept executed more accurately lol

Obviously it’s not super authentic, but it gets the point across haha

if it was done with authentic reggae it would sound quite nice. Bob Marley's waiting in vain guitar solo is actually pretty solid.

Can you try it with a different backing track? The one right now sounds like carrousel music

This isn't a backing track, it's actually from the end of a song I wrote that was based on AI prompts. It's not really meant to be super serious and the Reggae feel is only there because that's one of the styles I was prompted to use by Chat GPT. Hence the carousel vibe here haha

This reads like Guthrie Govan somehow

How to master the last part of the solo?

    • @TheProgSchool

Hammer on hard and palm mute the open string picking

I dont know why so many people seem averse to Reggae. I mean Jazz chords and fun syncopated licks? Funky chop rhythms. Boomer Bends. Whats not to love?

Some people just want something to hate on

    That’s weird

This is so strange to my ears and brain! By itself the lead part is dope, and by itself the backing track is textbook chill reggae, but combined together it sounds like two vibes that are polar opposites of each other fighting for control of the song. well done!

Thank you! It is definitely bizarre, but works in a weird way
