And is Sub bass the most common bass used in trance? Also do u prefer using samples for melodies and stuff? Like Chord loop and stuff?

I like to have all my mid basses sent to a delay and reverb bus. Having lots of reverbs and delays when layering mid basses can muddy up the overall sound I found. Also, I don't layer sounds so much now, I want the details of the sound not a wall of sound blurred. Good vid as always

Always turn off delays/reverbs if needed. I would definetly recommend you to try to mixing all Volume levels with the *Pink Noise* method. Helped me extremely much much! Works for anything, even wall of sounds. Just make sure everything that needs to be in mono, is in mono first! Also if you want a clean mix do not use a ton of effects on synth itself, + noise and detune etc just sayin.. All ads up! 👍

@@tredfxman Cheers for the info. When I started off a year ago I was always using pink noise for levels until my ears adjusted. On the verbs and delays on mid basses, it's just a subtle amount, I barely notice it, just enough to sit in the mix with ever other sound. I use a lot less unison/voices now in each sound and add in a chorus to widen the sounds. Less layers/unison equals more details I learned from Sean Tyas tutorials

Good tips as always. I'm curious though, is there a difference between using the assignable velocity control and the velocity tracking knob? I suppose if you have multiple oscillators, you can assign it to just certain ones, but in this case, with just one oscillator, wouldn't it have the same effect?

Just left Bitwig Trance session, Went from my Sennheiser HD 660S phones connected to Focusrite 2i2 to my phone in bed to listen to this. Think it was the wrong move... 😄
