I haven't had any Hoka shoes yet but I'm really interested in trying them out, the Mach 6 looks like a pretty good daily trainer that can do some speedy runs.
Yeah, absolutely worth checking out! If you have a wide foot, get the wide version, otherwise can' t go wrong. It' s a shoe that can do almost everything really.
I got new Asics and even very cheap Li-Ning, both return energy way better than my first Hoca Ricon… so gotta get new Mizuno or Novablast, just for more energy efficiency…
@@vrombo I had the original Hoka Rincon back in 2020(?)... Have to say, this Mach 6 is on another level in terms of Energy Return, it' s a much better shoe.
Most of the easy runs fall very roughly around 4:30 to 5:00/k. But can go either way depending on how I feel... Strides for me are really just starting at easy pace, accelerating and then holding something around top-end pace for a few seconds. Then I take a walking/jogging break so it all stays relatively relaxed...
@@robin29991 lol holy fk thats my uptempo pace! is that also ur recovery pace or is recovery slower than easy? would that b like 2:30/k pace for u for top end?
@@io-rj6sk I don't really differentiate between Easy and Recovery tbh. For me it's Easy, then comes moderate(somewhere between Marathon Pace and Easy, so around 4:00-4:15/k), and then the fast stuff. Yeah, maybe something around that. But I'm in no way a Sprinter or Middle Distance Runner haha. Like I alluded to here, I basically get worse the shorter the distance!
@@robin29991 wats ur PB's for whatever races uve done? like 5k/10k/half/full marathon etc also how many gym/strength seshes do u usually do a week? i assume only lower body and none for upper body?
17:05, 34:50, 1:15, 2:38 but those 5k and 10k are due a major overhaul really... Strength work is another thing I'm terrible at and very inconsistent. I just try to do at least something regularly...
