Beautiful evergreen tubes. Reason why I fell in love with anything Ghana right from childhood. You don’t understand the language yet your soul connects to every rhythm.
Legendary voice and band!!! May the taverns and dancehalls praise him and his band mates. This style of highlife music will continue in the 21st century.
The first track "Me refre No" is a stunner, second to none. I had a girlfriend who was a Ga but this song killed her. At a day in the time, she confessed that such songs attracted her more to Twi cultural romance.
angelic ethereal voice, with incredible instrumentation. touches me every time.
This song is a classic! Brings me sweet memories in the late 80s on GBC one radio. Reliving every moment.

Is this the first album of city boys sir?
@@jonesnyarko8447 No. J.A Adofo's first album was titled "Akutia Bo" which was released in 1970. The "Mefrefre No" album was released in 1980.
The rhythms and sounds in highlife will provide decades worth of samples in the future.
