Absolutely stunning architecture. Art nouveau (a.k.a., Jügendstil, Liberty, Modernism, Florido, in its many adaptations around Europe and the Americas) is my favorite artistic movement, and the building in the thumbnail image has been an emblem of that for me since I first read about it. The level of beauty in the buildings of this era is one full of something godly, aspirational, and optimistic. I don’t think we’ll ever see anything like it again. Great video synthesis of the many exponents of the style in Riga. 👍
