      Many thanks for the compliment, we are thrilled when our viewers find our videos helpful. To answer your question, if you click the odometer button enough times, it shows you how many miles are left until the next oil change. I believe it is one more push of the button after “trip B”. That is what you are resetting in the maintenance tab. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

    @1gr8oil 3 года назад +2

    WOW! That's a lot of information. I am glad I found your channel, as I did not know there were so many things that could be set. I do have a couple of questions.
    1- How do you put in an address to navigate to?
    2-Is there two different Navigation settings where the Navigation system will find newer streets and addresses?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide 3 года назад +2

      Thanks for the compliment! There are multiple ways to plot an address into the Navigation system:
      1. Press the map button, then press the magnifying glass, then press menu, press destination, then click on the downward pointing arrow at the bottom left until you see “address”. Click on that and enter the state or province if this is the first time, then enter the address and press search click on the correct address from search options and press go or start
      2. You can use voice command. (Easier). Press and quickly release the voice command button on the steering wheel. Say the address ( 1234 McGinley street SW, Billings, Montana). When it is done searching for that address, it will list all the options it found and it will ask you to pick the right one (they are numbered) and then simply say the actual number (One). And it will plot the course for you then you can say start or click on the start button on the screen
      3. You can also search by POI (points of interest- restaurants, gas stations etc). Follow the directions in option 1 above but instead of clicking on addresses, click on points of interest
      4. If you have connected your phone via Bluetooth to the infotainment system AND your phone contacts have an address associated with them, you can follow the steps in step 1 but instead of clicking on address or Points of Interest, click on “contacts” and it will pull up your contacts, then click on the appropriate one.
      To answer your second question, the map only contains one map and one preloaded set of addresses. The only way to improve its “address data bank” is to update the infotainment system when there is an update-although that doesn’t guarantee the Nav Map will be updated as well. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    Great info and video. I have a question: I somehow duplicated a station on my Sirius Presets. Example, I have The Bridge on 3 presets set to 17. So I have 3 Preset buttons that say 17. How do I delete 2 of those presets?

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide 2 года назад +2

      Thanks for the compliment and the question. To delete presets, go to Sirius xm on the infotainment system, then on the left you should see a list of things you can click on, Presets should be about the 2nd one from the top. Click on it, and I think (the owners manual isn’t clear here) you will see all your presets, with the ability to delete which ever ones you don’t want. Option 2, if you happen to have 2 other radio stations you want to save as favorites but have not done so, tune to that channel, and to save it, click and hold on one of your duplicate presets and it will erase the original and replace it with the mew station. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    I watched the first 7 minutes and will watch the entire video. There is so much detail, it would be nice to have split this into 3 videos. Part 1, 2, 3. I love the much criticized system. The many reviewers criticizing it are just too lazy to read the manuals and practice.
    I have one question.
    1. Any way to permanently turn off the auto rain sensors? In my previous car, I drove into a car wash, 3 days after buying it. The wipers started up in the car wash, I didn’t know how to shut them off, and they were permanently damaged. For that reason, I haven’t brought my 3 week old Venza Limited, dusty and maimed by Cicada air strikes, to the car wash. I know the wiper control off the steering wheel controls it, but it’s not that easy to tell if it’s on.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide 3 года назад +3

      Thanks for the question. To turn off the rain sensing wipers push the wiper stalk upwards one click. They should now be off of auto. To test it spray some water on the outside of the windshield right where the rear view mirror is as that is where the sensor is located. This will hopefully get you the car wash. If I find anything about permanently disabling the rain sensing wipers I’ll post again. Happy de-dusting and de-Cecadian! Thanks for watching!

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide 3 месяца назад

      Thanks for the question. If your vehicle came equipped with navigation there should be a physical map button just below the air vents. If you have that but want the navigation. Button in the screen, go into menu, then select customize Home Screen, select the layout you want and then you will see Navi as one of the options, click and drag it into the layout. Now it will appear on your screen. If you don’t have the physical map button, and Navi does not appear as an option when you customize the Home Screen, then your vehicle was not equipped with navigation from the factory. If that’s the case you can always use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to display navigation apps from your phone on the infotainment screen. Thanks for watching!
